    Skin acting up on meds?

Acne flares on Reta in the first couple of months often track with the hormonal shift from rapid fat loss rather than the medication directly.

Not a fast loser? You're not alone!

Sugar alcohols ferment fast in the gut and the GI slowdown on GLP-1s extends the exposure window, which is why the effect tends to be worse than it was before starting.

    Sema 1 month in!

10 lbs in the first month on Rybelsus is a solid start - oral sema has lower bioavailability than injectable, so that pace is actually good. Dry mouth peaks around months 2-3 and resolves; biotene and gum work until it does. One cheat day doesn't move the arc.

    Suddenly ravenous on sema?!

That is true. But I'm just not sure the side effects are worth it *for me*. Maybe I'll revisit this later, but for now I'm out.

    Suddenly ravenous on sema?!

Update: I stopped the injections. I'm done. Lost 20 lbs, but I feel terrible: sick, nauseous, and constipated. It's not worth the awful feeling, in my opinion. I'll stick to cutting carbs and eating healthy to maintain. Plus, saving $150 a month!

    Suddenly ravenous on sema?!

Just started semaglutide injections 5 days ago, and this is my first week. Yesterday I was hit with major hunger. I devoured two helpings of pasta! This morning I felt fine. Any idea why I'm getting these hunger pangs?

    Ozempic making anyone else emotional?

That's an interesting thought! I've definitely felt like my food noise has decreased, which helps me concentrate a little better.

    Ozempic making anyone else emotional?

I'm feeling a bit more anxious. Maybe I was just good at hiding it before.

    Switching from Tirz to Reta?

It's been about 6 weeks since I switched from 10mg Tirz to titrating up on Reta. My weight loss kinda stalled during the switch, but it's picking up again. The appetite changes are a mixed bag. I kinda miss the feeling of rarely being hungry with Tirz, and being able to eat a small breakfast...

    Switching from Tirz to Reta?

After about 9 months on GLP-1s, my weight loss stalled at 5mg of tirz. Instead of upping the dose, I started adding Reta, starting at 2.5mg. I switched my tirz injections to every 5 days and did Reta on its own 5-day rotation, separately. I read it's better to space them out since they affect...

    Anyone else CRUSHING it?!

I'm on the generic and taking .25mg. Tomorrow is my fifth dose. I don't think I need to increase yet, I'm down 8 pounds in the first month! Binge eating and overeating are gone, and no side effects. I think I'll stay at .25 for another month and see what happens.
