Skin acting up on meds?

Hi everyone,

I've been taking Reta for around 2 months now, and my skin has been not great. I've struggled with acne in the past, and I try to manage it.
Since starting the meds, I've had more breakouts, even though I'm still doing my usual skincare routine and staying hydrated.

I know Reta can cause rashes and stuff, but has anyone else had acne issues?

Fat cells store more than just calories. When you drop pounds, all the hormones and toxins stored in those fat cells get released. This can lead to mood swings and, sadly, acne.

Like others have said, fat cells store toxins. Your liver should process them, unless the weight loss is too fast. Drink lots of water, eat healthy foods. Pooping is also important lol, but I know that can be hard on these meds.

Oh yeah, I'm drinking tons of water and electrolytes.
My skin has always been acne-prone, so I knew Reta (or the weight loss) could cause a flare-up.

I've been on sema for about six months now and am losing weight. Has anyone noticed any changes to their hair? I've heard about hair loss, but I seem to be getting more gray hairs.
It could just be me getting older, of course!

Interesting... I've actually heard of the opposite happening! Someone on another forum had gray hairs growing back in their original color after being on sema for a while.

Gray hair can be from vitamin deficiencies, like B vitamins or even Vitamin D. It's always a good idea to supplement when taking sema, since you might be absorbing fewer nutrients.

I've been looking into peptides lately. Has anyone had success with sermorelin for stubborn fat? I heard it can help, especially when diet and exercise aren't enough.

I use a sermorelin/ipamorelin blend. I inject it right before bed. So far I've noticed better sleep and more fat loss.

Acne flares on Reta in the first couple of months often track with the hormonal shift from rapid fat loss rather than the medication directly.
