    Ozempic: A year out!

30 pounds in a year on Ozempic is real progress, even when it does not feel like it. The 5 lb swing is water retention and food timing - not fat change. The trend matters more than the day-to-day.

Down 60lbs! Can you see it?

Pre-period water retention of 5-6 lbs is completely normal and has nothing to do with actual fat gain. The scale reading next week will look different. The pattern is cyclical and predictable once you know what to watch for.

    Down 64, aiming for more!

399 to 339 without medication shows discipline. Adding sema changes the math.

    Down sizes! 6 months progress.

Water aerobics could be good! I've also heard good things about recumbent bikes.

    Down sizes! 6 months progress.

You're doing fantastic! My starting and current weights are very similar to yours. I'm a little over four months in, still at 1 mg. I'm also planning on adding exercise. We got this! ❤️

    Just started, SO sick!

    0. 5 as a first dose is pretty darn aggressive, if you ask me. Lots of people start at 0.25 and then slowly increase it. But the good news is it definitely improves with time; the first few days are usually the worst. Try sipping something fizzy like ginger ale; that helped me a lot when I was...

    Just started, SO sick!

Call your doctor in the morning. That's a pretty intense reaction to 0.5. Are you certain you injected the correct amount and not more by accident? If you did inject the right amount, try doing it in your thigh. It absorbs slower than in the stomach, which can help with the nausea.

    Ozempic plateau during perimenopause?

I'm so impatient! Anyone else feel like they are almost at their goal weight but just can't quite get there?

    Thinner needles for IM shots?

27g and 30g ARE smaller than 25g. Also, 1/2" is often long enough to reach the muscle in your shoulder if you're relatively lean.

    Thinner needles for IM shots?

Thanks everyone. I'm just being a chicken when I do the IM injection, and it ends up hurting more because I hesitate. I was hoping a smaller gauge than 25g would sting less. I guess I just need to commit and stop being a scaredy cat.

    Thinner needles for IM shots?

BD, Nipro, and Excel all manufacture 1.25" 27g needles. And BD makes a 1" 30g needle as well.

    Thinner needles for IM shots?

Oops, sorry for the lack of clarity. This is for an IM injection.

    Ozempic plateau during perimenopause?

I'm in perimenopause and I use HRT patches to help with the symptoms. They've been amazing! I was on them for about 8 months before starting ozempic and I've lost nearly 85lbs since then. If you're not on HRT, it might be worth considering.

    Thinner needles for IM shots?

Hey everyone! I'm looking for needles with a higher gauge (27g-29g) that are around 1 inch (25mm) long. Do these even exist? The finest I'm finding are 25g, and I'm starting to wonder if the 1-inch needles need to be thicker to prevent bending. Any help is appreciated!

    Ozempic plateau during perimenopause?

You mentioned you're not following a strict diet, so that probably explains why you're not seeing the results you want. Weight loss is all about a calorie deficit. Exercise is beneficial, but it doesn't burn as many calories as most people believe. It's best as a supplement to weight loss, not...

    Low B12 on GLP-1s?

I agree with Bioboost has been awesome for energy. I take 1 ml 2x/week and I do it IM, gives me a great boost.

Success Stories That Keep Us Going

I loved the suit example. I had a similar moment with an old leather jacket from my 30s. Slipped it on and it zipped. Yes! Mine was "ride a roller coaster without worrying about the bar." Did that last summer. Worth every protein shake.

    Low B12 on GLP-1s?

My levels were similar, and I was also tired. My doctor prescribed oral B12, so maybe yours would too, instead of shots.
