    Six Month Reta Check-in

I got the CGM when I first started using Tesa/Ipa/CJC and just kept using it. I don't notice any insulin resistance from the HGH or secretagogues; I just enjoy having more data to analyze, lol.

    Six Month Reta Check-in

Started compounded tirzepatide around mid-August last year. Stumbled upon this forum quickly and switched to Reta a couple months later. I've lost about 58 lbs since then, going from 257 to 199. I shed most of the weight in the first 3-4 months and have been focusing on maintaining and gaining...

    Accidental IM injection?

Sometimes I might see a small drop of clear liquid if I use 5/16", so I press a bit deeper and wait a second before removing the needle. Also, if I'm injecting something more important, like Reta instead of BPC, I use 1/2" usually. Bleeding is common, but it's just a tiny bit and it clots...

    Accidental IM injection?

Pushing is easier than pulling it. Still beats the pants off of a 1.5" 25ga IM.

    Accidental IM injection?

You can get a legal supply for under $100 each month without insurance if you have low T.

    Accidental IM injection?

I'm around 260 lbs now. I think I prefer the 1/2" needles over the 5/16". It will be a while before I can't fit a 1/2" needle into my stomach fat.

    Accidental IM injection?

That difference isn't much; I've used three 1/2" needles today. I also use 1/2" for TRT subq. I even bought 100 29ga 1/2" needles to check if they work better than 30ga. TRT means Testosterone Replacement Therapy. For skinny people, pinch the skin and inject. It's only a tiny difference...

    Accidental IM injection?

How long are we talking? You don't need to jam it all the way in, but if you have some padding around the middle, you should be able to sink a 1" needle in without hitting muscle. You could also inject at a slant.

    Mood swings on Reta?

Yeah, I've seen that too. I think some people are just jealous or feel insecure about their own struggles with weight, and it comes out as negativity towards others.

    Mood swings on Reta?

I want to switch, but I'm so worried. I keep hoping to find someone local who is using reta. I've been reading too many conspiracy theories and I have terrible luck, so I'm convinced I'll get a bad batch. Hearing about your experiences is helping though! Thanks for the feedback.

    Mood swings on Reta?

Oh man, I've been having that issue on tirz, so I've been looking into reta hoping to avoid it. I'm also hoping for reduced appetite suppression and less fatigue and nausea.

    Switching between GLP-1 meds

Really appreciate the metabolic focus here. One thing I would add for the PCOS/insulin resistance crowd: some of us see lab improvements even when weight loss is slow. My fasting insulin and triglycerides improved dramatically before the scale caught up. This. Especially for those of us who...

    Jano lab report weird?

I've heard of a few places. One that gets mentioned a lot is Janoshik Analytical. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

    Jano lab report weird?

The reports have the same Task number but different amounts listed. Very suspicious.

    Myostatin blockers & GLP-1s?

I'm curious about Bio_Hacker_99 's comment about sermorelin. I've used tesamorelin with some success for fat loss and keeping muscle while on GLP-1's. I wonder if the two work similarly?

    Myostatin blockers & GLP-1s?

I'm doing 3g per day of free acid HMB. I'm down about 20 lbs in 3 months, and my body scans show my lean body mass is staying put. Still making small strength gains, but not like I used to. I've heard that 5-amino-1mq is supposed to help preserve muscle too. I have always been drug-free, but I...

    Pics & progress!

I'm so thrilled with how far I've come! My ultimate goal is to look like I did in the last pic. The first couple pics show me at my heaviest after having my baby. I was battling postpartum issues and didn't realize my blood sugar was out of control. The third picture is where I'm at now.

    Down 47lbs in 8 months!

This is so true. I started a simple weight-lifting program at 75 (with lots of health issues!) and the scale barely moves, but my clothes fit better. Don't get discouraged!
