From Chubby to Garage Fridge Commando

That "kale influencer" line is pure gold! 😂 Seriously, congrats on the progress! Slow and steady wins the race. I'd seriously tell that doctor you took his advice and started mainlining caffeine - then just stare at him!

    Finally under 200lbs!

I started shopping at secondhand stores. It feels better than buying new (less waste!) and it's easier on the wallet. I try to get one or two new items every few weeks. When my old clothes look too big, I drop them off at the same store.

    Finally made it to Onderland!

You look amazing! I'm guessing you're at a BMI around 25? I'd love that. I have 17 kg to go to reach that! (Lost 14 kg so far). My doctor wants me to lose 10 more kg and then stop around a BMI of 27 but I'm hoping I can change her mind...

    Finally made it to Onderland!

Congrats! It's great seeing others who've been on this long-term. I'm at 18 months and still want to lose about 20 more. Down 80lbs total.

    Ozempic changed your taste buds?

My cooking skills have gone downhill since I started this medication because I can't season food properly anymore.

    Half a year down! 🎉

Hey The_Sema_Source, in response to your earlier question: I find that planning out my meals for the week really helps me hit my protein goals. I also supplement with protein shakes on days when I know I'm going to be short. It's a constant balancing act, but it's manageable!

    Weight loss shots replacing surgery?

I feel that. [@Wild_Dad] I'm insulin resistant with PCOS, and a low dose of semaglutide is the only thing that's helped me in 17 years of constant dieting and exercise. It's $950 every six to eight weeks, which is awful, but it works. Nothing else has, even with my endocrinologist throwing every...

    Weight loss shots replacing surgery?

I'm not in the medical field, but I've had some unexpected side effects. I wonder if anyone else has experienced these: 1) My interest in alcohol has tanked. I know others have said the same. It was stronger when I started (I wouldn't even finish a drink) than now that I've been on it for nine...

    Half a year down! 🎉

Starting Mounjaro was honestly one of the best choices I've ever made for myself, and I can't stop raving about it! 😄 For the first time in over two decades (I'm 40 now), I feel like I have a healthy and happy relationship with food. It isn't the enemy anymore. I've stretched my dose out to...

    Weight loss shots replacing surgery?

I seriously thought about getting surgery, but I backed out once I heard more about the potential complications, like addiction transfer. My ADHD meds gave me a *hint* of what life could be like without constant food cravings, but it faded later in the day. I didn't realize people could live...

    Mounjaro = Life Saver?

I've been hesitant about girly rum drinks since starting. Has anyone had issues drinking on this? I don't want to get sick.

I've been managing to squeeze in a cheat day *every day* since mid-December. Feeling pretty good about it. 🤰
