OMG I feel so much better!

Celiac and hemochromatosis alongside everything else - that progress is genuinely hard-won. Getting multiple conditions moving at once is a big deal.

    Cheap GLP-1s soon?

The discounts are likely a response to the patent conversation as much as logistics. Pricing pressure tends to move before generic entry. The logistics piece has been the bigger bottleneck for most people anyway.

Tirzepatide messing with my stomach :(

Greasy food is the main trigger. The gallbladder adapts to lower fat intake and then gets hit hard when fat returns. Keeping fat low for a few weeks tends to settle it.

Sema not working as well as I hoped?

It's easy to get impatient. I see newbies getting mad they aren't losing weight immediately! You just gotta let it happen. This is so personal. People lose like 80-100 pounds in a year, and I'm like...wow. Down about 50 after nearly a year and I'm thrilled!

Sema not working as well as I hoped?

My sister did really well on semaglutide, but it didn't work as well for her daughters. So they switched to another med and it worked better for them. Everyone's body reacts differently.

Slow weight loss on sema a worry?

Losing weight slowly can be frustrating, but it tends to be more lasting. The telehealth provider I use set that expectation with me early on, so I didn’t freak out when it wasn’t super fast.

Sema not working as well as I hoped?

It's not a magic bullet. You still need to be active and watch what you eat. If you don't make changes to your habits, you'll probably gain the weight back, or even more.

Slow weight loss on sema a worry?

I've been on it for a year and a half and lost about 35 pounds, that's roughly 2 lbs a month. I still have about 30 lbs to go, so it's slow for me too. But I'm okay with the pace. I wouldn't have lost anything otherwise, and the time is gonna pass anyway!

    Halfway to my Goal Weight!

I started on another similar med last year because my blood sugar was getting high. It didn't work that well, so my doc switched me to something similar to Ozempic. I've lost a good amount, my blood sugar is good, and I feel so much better. Despite the side effects sometimes, it's worth it. I'm...

    Accidental GLP Baby?!

I saw a story of someone startin' MJ at around 400 lbs and lost almost 200 before getting pregnant in early '24. After birth they started meds again. Today they're back down near their pre-pregnancy weight!

    One year on this stuff...!

It's amazing how much changes in a year! I remember last Halloween, I was squeezing into a costume that was way too small. Now, this Halloween, I'm down about 50 pounds from my heaviest. What a difference a year makes! Congrats to you!

    Accidental GLP Baby?!

My partner started on GLP-1 meds in December of '23, and surprise, surprise – pregnant by February! The nurses mentioned they're seeing more and more pregnancies among women using GLP-1 agonists. Not sure if there's solid research to back it up, just what we heard. Congrats!

    Dosing chart madness!

I agree with starting low and slow. That's so true! Better safe than sorry, especially with something like this.

    Dosing schedule disaster! Advice needed!

That's it, sadly. I took the plunge and started testing a new product when I got back to my home lab. Hoping for the best!
