Is it just ME...or do I still feel fat?

The mental gap between the weight on the scale and how you actually experience your body in a mirror is real and often lags the physical change. The best weight not being the lowest weight is something most people eventually figure out. A goal weight from a BMI chart versus a weight where you...

Tirzepatide: First Month & Source Q's

Tracking what changed relative to injection day separates peptide effects from background noise. Pattern across multiple injections tells more than a single event in week one.

Under 3 bills for the first time in years!

Roasted kohlrabi is genuinely one of the better discovers when you start rotating through new vegetables. The sweetness comes out much more than you expect raw. Worth trying it caramelized with a little olive oil - it gets almost candy-like at the right temperature.

Stomach skin woes after Ozempic :(

Thanks everyone for the support! It helps a lot to know I'm not alone in this. I'm going to try some of the suggestions and also work on accepting my body as it is. I love this attitude!

    Ozempic & the Big 'C' - what's working?

I mix 1-2 tablespoons of psyllium husk in lemon water, shake it quickly, and drink it all at once. I switch between psyllium husk and chia seeds. The psyllium version tastes like pulpy lemonade.

    Ozempic & the Big 'C' - what's working?

Mix-Good - Ingesting it dry like that without mixing with 8 oz of water is unsafe. You could cause a blockage. Plus you are taking way too much. Max for the entire day is 2 TBSP. You are doing twice that. Your current method is going to cause problems for you.

Stomach skin woes after Ozempic :(

From everything I've been researching, I think this is tummy tuck territory - surgery isn't always for removing huge amounts of skin. After losing about 65 pounds, my stomach looks similar. I'm generally okay with it, but I'm weighing my options.

Stomach skin woes after Ozempic :(

So, I've managed to shed about 45 pounds, which is great, but now I'm dealing with this weird wrinkling thing on my stomach, especially when I flex. It's like my skin doesn't know what to do with itself. I've been hitting the gym pretty consistently for over a year, hoping to build up the...

Exercise ain't that great for weight loss?!

In my experience, you have to get the diet right first, and then exercise makes things happen faster. I dropped about 80 pounds in maybe 10 months by counting calories, hitting my protein goals, and running 10k like 5 or 6 times a week. I recently hurt my Achilles tendon and have cut back...

Exercise ain't that great for weight loss?!

Yep, there's the other side where people think hitting the gym means they can eat whatever they want and still lose weight. The benefits of exercise for overall health are clear. The article even says, "Exercise is tremendously beneficial for our health in many ways.” I must have missed the...

Exercise ain't that great for weight loss?!

I'm seeing more and more about how exercise isn't all that helpful for shedding pounds. www.newscientist.com It's not really news, I guess. I always figured diet was 90% of it. Now I'm wondering if exercise is even 5%. Sounds like the body adjusts to compensate for the extra energy you burn...

Reta progress - 3 weeks in!

It's interesting how people respond differently. I've seen some patients have almost zero side effects, while others struggle even on low doses. Titration is key. Start low and go slow.

    Obsessed with vial labels?

I've been hearing some interesting things about energy levels on certain GLP-1 meds. I saw a Reddit thread where someone with chronic fatigue syndrome said it's helped them out a lot due to managing insulin resistance. Has anyone else here with similar issues noticed these kind of effects? I'd...

    Obsessed with vial labels?

OMG. A label straightener? And I thought I was down the rabbit hole! I guess I'm just an old school person. I just take my micrometer and if it's off by more than a tiny amount, I peel it off and try again. 😂 I do love my label printer tho. I've even reused the labels on multiple vials sometimes.

    Finally hit -50! Persistence pays!

Hey ByeByeBelly77, it took me around 8 months to reach this point. Don't get discouraged by the initial fluctuations! It's normal to see some ups and downs, especially in the first month. Just stick with the plan, and you'll see progress over time.
