GLP-1s: Do Younger People Lose More?

Age does play a role - younger people tend to have more metabolic flexibility and often see faster results. Individual variation is huge though. Hormonal status matters a lot for women specifically.

    Collagen & GLP-1s: Worth it?

Collagen is worth adding, especially for skin support during weight loss. Marine collagen absorbs better than bovine in most comparisons. Easiest way to stay consistent - stir it into your morning protein routine and forget about it.

Reconstituting with my insulin syringes - okay?

Insulin syringes work fine for reconstitution. Cheap, precise, easy to find. Most people here use them.

Ordering GLP-1s Internationally: What to Know

Really balanced post. One thing I would add on the customs side: when policy shifts around low-value import thresholds, it affects volume massively. Postal systems are not designed to individually broker millions of small pharmaceutical parcels. That is why you suddenly see backlogs and...

Wow, almost a year on the magic juice!

i reconned with 3ml bac in the original vial, moved it to a clean 10ml vial and added another 3ml. started low at 1.5mg, just slight tightness at pin site. hoping to bump to 2.5mg over the next few days.

Anyone lose on the baby doses? .25 or .5?

My A1c improved a little on the lower doses, but I didn't really see the pounds drop until I got to 1-2mg. The last time I was tested, my A1c levels were normal for the first time in a decade. If I can just lose another 10 pounds, my BMI will be in the normal range for the first time in probably...

    Smart Scales for Water Weight?

There was another post about someone's diabetes reversing. Maybe the meds are affecting your blood sugar and that's why you're not losing? Something to consider.

Anyone lose on the baby doses? .25 or .5?

I lost 70 lbs on 0.5mg. I upped it to 1mg but stopped losing weight, so I went back down to 0.5mg and it started working again. I'm not sure why, but I'm not complaining.

    Dreaming of Food?!

Actually, it's not uncommon for antibiotics to disrupt sleep. They can mess with your gut microbiome, which in turn can affect neurotransmitter production and sleep quality.

Zepbound not working for me. help!

I weigh myself every day. I've found it helps me see how different foods affect me. But I only *officially* record my weight once a week, on Mondays. That way, I can see the overall trend without getting too caught up in daily fluctuations.

    Smart Scales for Water Weight?

I got a cheaper smart scale. The app has too much stuff, but I hope to use it for trends. I'll let you know how it goes. It does water weight.

    GLP-1 Hindsight: What I Wish I Knew

I wish I'd known how overpriced some of those subscription services are! I was paying almost $500 a month for basically nothing. I should have looked into other options sooner. Lesson learned!

    Dreaming of Food?!

I never used to have those crazy food dreams until recently. A few nights ago, I dreamt I was gorging on baked potatoes.

That's the best part, isn't it? The health improvements are worth more than fitting into smaller clothes. Keep up the great work!

    GLP-1 Hindsight: What I Wish I Knew

Honestly, I prepped a lot so there was nothing I wish I'd known. It's been almost a year and a half, I'm at maintenance, and doing great. My advice? Do your homework about the med, remember that progress is progress, and don't compare yourself to others, it is *your* journey.

Zepbound not working for me. help!

Maybe ask your doctor about switching to semaglutide. You might respond better to that. Make sure you're eating in a calorie deficit too - that should help. I'm losing slowly, like half a pound a week, but at least it's something.

Ozempic for BED - Anyone else?

Ozempic shows promise for binge eating beyond just weight loss. The GLP-1 mechanism seems to reduce that constant 'food noise' many BED sufferers describe—that loop of thinking about food. People here report the urge to binge just stops, which makes sense given its effects on dopamine. It's not...
