    Lost 130+ lbs – my GLP-1 journey

340 pounds to under 200 via GLP-1 and diet cleanup is one of those arcs that takes the long view - the patience over years is the actual story.

    Spacing out doses?

Monthly works at true maintenance doses - the suppression holds longer once the dose has been stable for several cycles.

    GLP-1s and BMI weirdness?

PCP access usually requires BMI documentation or a metabolic comorbidity on record.

Reta plateau at week 10 - dose up?

Someone in that thread suggested getting your fat and muscle percentage checked. Might be gaining muscle!

Reta plateau at week 10 - dose up?

Along with everything else mentioned, I like peptides combined with intermittent fasting, particularly GH peptides. After you're on a higher dose of reta, cagri might be a good option too, especially if GH peptides aren't suitable.

    Workout routines on GLP-1s?

You should aim to work out as intensely as you would if you weren't on medication. Remember, it is basically just a medicine-induced version of dieting. My TDEE is around 3400 calories, and I eat about 2000 a day. I lose about 2 pounds per week using a pretty low dose of my medication every few...

Reta plateau at week 10 - dose up?

    Just increase the dosage, right?

    Workout routines on GLP-1s?

As someone who works in fitness AND is a runner, I learned to give myself some grace early on. The first few days after my injection, the fatigue and nausea were real. I still needed to move, so I modified. I'd power walk in class instead of run, and take more breaks during strength training...

    Sema not working? Help!

Don't forget it can take a while for it to really kick in. It took about a month before I saw much happening. The second month, I'll go a week or two with no changes, then lose 3-5 pounds. It sucks when it's slow, but it stays off better that way. I'd increase your dose after a month or two.

    Coffee hits different on Ozempic?

It changes all the time! Some weeks I want nothing but fruits, veggies, and grilled chicken. Then, the next week, all I can manage is ramen, wings, and tater tots, but in small portions. And I haven't even changed my dose recently.

    Coffee hits different on Ozempic?

YES!! Coffee is way stronger now. I can only drink cold coffee. I drink the bottled cold coffee from the fridge and then put half coffee and half heavy cream in my cup. Also mix in a little bit of Monkfruit sweetener.

    Sema not working? Help!

You should go to a higher dose.

    Coffee hits different on Ozempic?

I've been on the highest dose (2mg) for over two years and I still drink four cups every day! With milk and a bit of sweetener. I haven't noticed a difference.

    Dosing chart madness!

That schedule probably comes from a reseller trying to get rid of their stock.

    Dosing chart madness!

Overdosing on GLPs is no joke. That chart is a guaranteed way to get there.

    Dosing chart madness!

Reta goes to 12mg and isn't even approved yet, so you're gonna go to 20mg after 7 weeks? You could inject that with 40 units instead of 200 (2ml), which is two full diabetic syringes...

    Dosing chart madness!

Week 7, they're injecting 2ml... so you'd need a 3cc syringe with a 23 or 25g needle? Might as well use that last ml for something else. Unbelievable!

Good EU source for bac water?

Just a heads up, I heard that some people use regular insulin needles to inject from vials. Might be cheaper than pens if you don't mind doing it that way! I'm not sure if that's appropriate for this discussion.

Good EU source for bac water?

Hey, did you ever find a good source? I'm also in Germany and looking. Someone I know uses the bac water from Amazon that someone mentioned and they're fine, but I'm thinking of just ordering from overseas... unless there's a decent option in the EU.

Ozempic Diary: A Year On, A Year Off

That's encouraging! I'm definitely concerned about regaining once I stop. So that is good to know.
