    Semaglutide: What to know?

The podcast transcript format is useful here - academic framing tends to land better with skeptics than clinical summaries.

Back on the wagon...wish me luck!

Third time with a modified digestive system is a different game - good luck, sleeve and sema is a real setup.

    Down 11% - should I stop?

Sharing the journey openly is worth it when the progress is real. 11 percent is a meaningful marker regardless of where the goal line is.

    Anyone else CRUSHING it?!

Saw my doc today. He was impressed: 29 lbs down, BP dropped from 134/108 to 109/71. Can quit my BP meds now — that's the real win because I want to be around for my kids' weddings. Insurance ends soon but doc approved staying on low dose (0.5mg) and switching to compounded to keep going.

This med's a total game changer!

Eating about 1450–1500 calories a day. 11 months in, down 65 on Tirz. Weight loss has slowed—technically should eat under 1350 for a pound a week but even with meds I can't go under 1500. Got down to 200 before over the years but always got stuck and gained it back. Probably going to bump my...

    GLP-1s and...digestive aids?

I'm not diabetic, but I'm on TRT... has anyone else noticed changes in their hormone levels while taking these meds? I'm curious if they're somehow related.

    GLP-1s and...digestive aids?

Oh, this used to be my daily thing, but now I need the heavy artillery. I'm on Linzess 290 mcg every day.

    GLP-1s and...digestive aids?

Things DO improve! I've been taking Mounjaro for like, almost 4 years. My, uh, movements are pretty predictable nowadays...thank goodness!

    Down a clothing size already!

Probably the Melanotan. Just feel off until you adjust. How's your diet though? Eating enough? Protein for muscle? Feeling terrible is common with weight loss because we're undernourished and the body pulls from us. Anything else going on, sick maybe?

Hunger creeping back after day 5?

on my 3rd shot of .25 & my appetite's roaring back stronger than the first week. food noise was gone then, now it's loud & i crave salty stuff again. terrified to jump to .5 tho cause i've heard horror stories.

    BMI finally in normal range!

Goodlabs is decent and available in the PNW. ULTA labs is worth checking in your area. Finding a TRT doc who's got your back and won't charge $300/month is the real win. I was 270 before an ankle break sidelined me, now 340 with e2 climbing. Not ideal.

Reta Schedule - too much hunger?

My order from february still isn't here so I just cancelled. Supposed to be $8 but everywhere in canada's out so that's probably standard. Just using amazon water instead. Been lucky not having any infection - the guy who sells it says it's sterile and good for 28 days so if you don't want to...

    OMG down 60! Never stopping!

I try to get to the gym 3-4 times a week. I do about 30 minutes of cardio (usually the elliptical) and then some light weight training. I also try to walk as much as possible during the day. I work from home so it can be easy to just sit around all day, but I make an effort to get up and move...

    OMG down 60! Never stopping!

Thank you everyone! Not a problem at all. I am so happy. Focusing on healthier foods, being able to exercise (I could lift my leg up to my chest without my stomach getting in the way for the first time in years!) and the support from friends and family has helped so much. I started stacking...

    OMG down 60! Never stopping!

Just wanted to share some good news. I hit 180lbs today! I think I made my first post here around October, when I was around 220, after starting on compounded tirzepatide. I'm so happy to say I've lost 60lbs. My goal is 140, but wow, I feel amazing. The combo of reta and tirz has been...

Injection site reaction. I had to stop.

Red spot at injection site - anyone else?

I get that maybe 75% of the time, and it's itchy!

    Reta order taking forever?

I agree, sema-saved-me, mixing your own stuff sounds scary! I'd rather wait, or pay a little more for something that's already prepared.

    Down 36lbs - can't believe it!

I'm getting my sema through some online telehealth place and I am seeing results too. Not losing as fast as some people, but progress is progress!
