1 Year On GLP-1s!

Great

Well-known member
Been on semaglutide then tirzepatide for a year now. It's been a rollercoaster but seeing progress keeps me going, hoping these updates help you all too!

Started sema in Aug '24 and lost about 55 lbs before a trip last April. I went down on the dose a bit before that and stayed around 163-165 lbs from mid-Feb to May. Then I switched to tirzepatide in mid-May to lose the last 25 lbs.

Almost at my goal weight, and I couldn't have done it without the support here.

Seeing a year's worth of progress in photos is super motivating. My telehealth provider had me taking pics every month, and it really made me see the changes I wouldn't have noticed otherwise.

Side effects can be different for everyone. Some people find tirzepatide causes less nausea than semaglutide, but others have the opposite experience, unfortunately. If you're having bad nausea, might be worth switching.

I had worse side effects on semaglutide than tirzepatide. Some nausea and constipation here and there, but nothing major. When I first started sema, I definitely felt it more. The nausea was pretty intense at first. It got better after a few weeks. Ondansetron helped a lot!
