1 year on MJ!

Hard to believe it's been a full year since I started Mounjaro. Almost down 150 pounds and fitting into clothes I haven't worn since high school, around a US size 12 now, started at a 24! Didn't think my life could change this much in just 12 months. Feeling super emotional today, in a good way, it's like I can finally breathe! I used to be so self-conscious about everything.

I don't have to Google restaurants ahead of time to check the seating.
I don't worry about squishing the person next to me on a plane.
I can do pretty much any activity without worrying about weight restrictions.
I don't feel bad when I pick my son up from school.
I don't feel embarrassed when someone looks at me.
I can actually shop in normal stores!

I was always the "confident, bubbly, big friend" for so long, I'm not even sure who I am without all that. Kinda scary, tbh. What do I actually like? What's my style? I'm excited to find out! Still got a ways to go, but I'm determined to keep going even if I have to stop MJ when my script runs out because of price hikes. Starting with a PT next week, so that'll be my new focus.

Girl, you should ABSOLUTELY be emotional! What an amazing transformation. You've come so far! A totally new person. Celebrate that success, you deserve it!

Massive congrats! That's just incredible progress. So sorry to hear you might have to stop the meds. Fingers crossed for you that you can keep going somehow!

Don't feel obligated to answer this but did you get any tummy tuck or breast lift? I have a lot of loose skin right now and I'm curious about my options. I still have another 40 lbs to go till my goal weight so I'm hoping it tightens up a little. You look great by the way!

You look incredible! The improvement in your quality of life is literally shining through. So, so happy for you. You've absolutely crushed it. You're already goals! I hope you're giving yourself all the praise and love you deserve! 👏🎉

Not yet! It's something I'm considering, but I want to see how things settle first after I've been at my goal for a bit. I am using a lot of lotion and trying to stay hydrated!

I'm really hoping for some of those 'wait, this fits?' moments soon! I've been on sema for about 2 months now and seeing some changes but nothing major yet. I'm trying to be patient and focus on building good habits.

Slow and steady is the way to go. I've read that gradual weight loss is less likely to result in loose skin. Make sure you're getting enough protein too!

Thanks everyone for all the love! It really means a lot. It's been such a journey, and having this community has made all the difference.

Exactly. You also want to support collagen production as you lose weight - adequate protein, vitamin C, and maybe even a collagen supplement could help with skin elasticity.
