Hey everyone. I'm a 43F, and after a T2D diagnosis, I went on Ozempic. With some light workouts, smarter eating, sorting out my head, stopping booze and weed, and handling ALL the fun side effects like gas, stomach issues, stalls, and those last-minute pharmacy trips... I'm stoked to say I've dropped 98 lbs in 10 months. Went from 427 to 329. The next bit will be even tougher, but I'm excited to see where I'll be next year. Thanks for all your stories; they really helped when things got tough.

I'm happy to chat if anyone's in a similar boat and wants to connect.

Cheers!

When did the weight loss start for you? I've been on Ozempic for 3 weeks. I had zero appetite the first week, but I've been eating whatever I want for the last two and have gained a little. I'm nervous it won't work for me.

Your story sounds like mine, but I'm just starting. My starting weight was 404. I started the 0.5 dose on Saturday of week four. I'm down 11 pounds so far. You're inspiring me. Cheers to your health!

The first 50 is the easy part!!!!

Now you've got hope. You know it's actually doable.

I'm also your age and have been losing weight for 19 months (3 before Ozempic). I'm down from 330 to 210lbs.

After the first bit, you're going to realize you're still overweight. Prioritize protein and fiber. If you don't focus on protein, you'll lose too much muscle... which, after lifting weights 4x a week with a trainer for 6 months... and getting body scans... I can tell you, it is hard to build muscle.

Keep it up! Aim for a daily calorie and protein goal. Slowly add healthy foods and build good habits. They're key for long-term success.

Great work!

What was your average daily food intake? How much exercise per week? Were you counting calories or macros?

I started 3 weeks ago and am down 13 lbs. I do 30-45 minutes of weight training at lunch and jiu jitsu 3-4 evenings a week. I'm not sure what to focus on with food.

Wooohoooo! Celebrate that win!! Congrats!! I love this group because everyone's so positive and we celebrate each other! You're KILLING it!!!

Thanks all! The support is amazing. It's definitely been a rollercoaster. I am still dealing with heartburn even now. I take an antacid at bedtime usually and that keeps it at bay.

I think it was about 4-5 weeks before I really saw the scale move. Before that, it was up and down. Stick with it!

I need to find some new jeans. I'm thinking of doing a picture like this girl did to show my progress:

From size 14 to size 4! Wow!

I wish I had tracked my progress like that! I started thrifting since buying new clothes all the time was getting expensive!
