2 month update - feeling down

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Doing well overall. Had some tough stretches with side effects recently, especially through the last couple dose increases since things were climbing pretty high. Leveling out now and planning a break for the next two or three months before picking back up. It's been two weeks since my last injection and cravings still haven't really returned. For anyone curious, my daily intake went from over 3500 calories down to around 1250 across the first four months, and now I eat whatever I want. My body gives me quick feedback if something's off. Haven't started exercising yet since my heart's still healing from years of strain, but cardio's coming soon.

Bumped up because 2.5mg wasn't controlling my glucose, being T2 diabetic. Weight loss was also minimal, like 4 pounds bouncing back and forth for six weeks straight. 5mg's been solid so far, feeling much better overall, blood pressure seems improved too, glucose is under control though not quite where I want it, might climb again after another month at 5. We'll see! Second week on 5mg, no loss during the thigh-injection week, then switched to stomach for week two and dropped 5 pounds, and that's not even a full week yet! Barely any food noise on 5mg either! Good luck on your own 5mg jump - I was nervous about bad reactions too, had some minor side effects that first week, nothing severe enough to send me back to 2.5mg. My body was clearly ready for this step since I feel so much better right now. Wishing you the best!

Thanks for the reply. My doctor had me start at 5mg. Felt like a lot of side effects at once, but I really do need the weight down. On month four now.

Thank you so much

Ate a bigger portion than usual yesterday and honestly felt a lot better afterward, no lingering hunger bugging me. Thinking I'll hold steady on 2.5mg a bit longer while nudging my calories up slightly (still under maintenance). Thanks again...

Hi, almost 10 weeks into 2.5mg here and things keep going well. Food noise is still absent, so sometimes eating slips my mind. I handle that with the same protein smoothie each morning, protein bars nearby, and a shake at night. A little real food works but it's mostly guesswork. Nearly 16lbs is what I've dropped, and my BP meds were cut in half, with the doctor thinking they may need swapping given my readings. A1c dropped from 8.7 down to 6.5 within month one, and I'm eager for the next test. I'll stay at this dose through October since I'm traveling overseas, and if it keeps working I'm happy to stay. New clothes were needed for the trip because my wardrobe is falling off me LOL! Oversized comfy clothes are for home only.

Doesn't happen for everyone, I dropped nearly 10 lbs in two weeks at 2.5mg. Though I think my diet changes did a lot of the work. Too early to say what higher doses do, starting 5mg soon so we'll see, still plenty left to lose.

Last month, at the start of 2.5mg, it was ideal, with noticeable suppression of appetite and cravings while losing weight. This month, because of a 10 day gap because my last injection, it hasn't felt the same. My plan was to hold at 2.5 mg as long as possible & lose as much as I genuinely can on it, but I'll definitely move up a dosage if I keep feeling little to no suppression this week. Everyone reacts differently I think :)

One month in at 2.5 here too and honestly feeling zero difference. Kind of odd when people say that, since I'm eating the same as always, but I'd already dropped thirty pounds solo before starting and hit a plateau. Moving up to 5mg soon, fingers crossed that changes things.
