40 and feeling FAB!

Okay, so, pic 1 is me at my heaviest, about 225 lbs and a size 18 back in '16 when I was only 5'2". I've been up and down my whole adult life. Got down to 170 in 2019, but it crept back on. Then I hit 185 in 2021, had a baby and BOOM, back to 220. The 2nd pic (ignore the smudges, toddler life!) is right before I started on semaglutide in Sept '24, weighing 207 (size 16). Today? I'm 177 (size 12) and actually SEEING and FEELING the difference. I was taking 1.5 mg weekly, but I feel best at 1 mg for now. Side effects have been pretty mild, just occasional queasiness. A couple days ago I had the sulfur burps... not fun! Trying to drop another 30 lbs before my Hawaii trip in November. I turned 40 last month, and I'm just so hopeful about being healthier than ever and a better mom to my little one.

That's amazing! I've been on this journey for a bit too. It's so encouraging to see others succeeding. I've had my share of stalls, it's definitely been the scenic route lol. What dose are you finding works best?

Thanks everyone for the kind words! PlateauPro I'm finding 1mg is my sweet spot right now. I felt pretty crummy on 1.5mg, so I dialed it back down. I'm losing slower, but feeling way better!

Oh man, those sulfur burps are the WORST! I had them really bad when I first started. Ginger ale seemed to help me a little.

I saw someone else post about wearing a bikini for the first time in ages. That's gotta feel amazing! I hope to get there someday. Congrats to everyone making progress!

It can be! Everyone's different. 30 lbs in 4 months is a great start, but don't get discouraged if it slows down. Consistency is key! Hydrate!
