5 months & 60+ lbs gone!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
That's really impressive congrats. I was running Ozempic for 10 months and dropped 30. Then my doc moved me over to Mounjaro. Been on it for 6 weeks now, did 4 weeks at 2.5 then went up to 5 for 2 weeks, and honestly I haven't lost anything. Actually ended up 7 heavier.

HR jumped from 66 to 80 since starting Retatrutid two months back. Also getting bad sleep - waking every hour or so. Training 4-5x a week at the gym, so this is not normal for me.

No bad side effects here either? The big win for me was dropping A1C from 11.2 down to 6.8 in just a few months. Lost 30 lbs too and I'm at 1mg now since October 2025. My doc wanted 2mg but I'm sticking with what's working.

I'm on painkillers for a herniated disc and didn't research interactions before starting. After a week the pills stopped working for my pain. Took me days to put it together. Thankfully it cleared up 24-36 hours after I stopped. Could've been way worse.

6 years after my stroke, I've lost 168 lbs. Type 2 diabetes is in remission. High blood pressure gone. Sleep apnea gone. Had cardiac ablation for the AFIB. Depression is handled. Made myself a promise years ago to turn my health around. Never too late for that kind of change.

The libido reduction on tirz is documented and shows up more in people who had a stronger baseline - the hormonal recalibration during active weight loss compounds the GLP-1 effect. Most people report it normalizing within a few months either as the body adjusts or after the rate of loss slows.

Daily weighing plus diet overhaul is the right combination - the daily number is noisy but the trend over 2-3 weeks is the signal. Coming in with a concrete plan rather than just hoping the medication does everything makes a real difference.

Persistent plateaus at 4 months in including a full month of gaining is the kind of thing that ends a lot of people's runs before they get to 60 lbs. The OP's 5 months and 60+ regardless of the rough stretches is exactly what pushing past it produces. How did you get through the month of gaining - did you change the dose or just wait it out?

Seriously, haven't dropped a ton, two months where I only lost 1 pound each time, but honestly was thrilled just not to have gained anything! Even the weeks where I just held steady felt like a win. Down 14 pounds since March total, but genuinely fine with that pace.

Appreciate it! Failed at this so many times before that fixating on the scale number just isn't an option anymore for me. Way easier to say than to actually pull off, honestly. Still very much a work in progress!

Hey, really glad it gave you some hope! Please don't feel discouraged if your own pace looks different from mine though. Comparing never really helps, and I'd argue my approach has stayed pretty healthy up to this point regardless of speed. Worth remembering you don't need to drop a kilo every single week to see real, meaningful loss over the long haul!

Rooting for you. Good luck!

60 pounds is honestly a lot of people's dream number! Amazing work. Just got home from a trip wearing outfits a full size smaller. Nobody's said a word except my husband. Keep thinking long-term though, once you actually hit goal, people will suddenly start noticing and commenting. Find joy in every small win along the way, those belong entirely to you!

Love that attitude. Dropping pounds matters, sure, but what really stands out is watching the needle move at all after years of doing everything right and hitting a wall. Most people underestimate how demoralizing that cycle becomes over time.

Averaging roughly a pound and a half weekly, 20 lbs across a couple months, sits right in that sustainable zone. Quick enough that motivation holds, gradual enough that your system isn't overwhelmed. Plus catching glimpses of muscle definition you haven't seen in ages is genuinely rewarding.

That drained, flat feeling is legit though. Knocked me flat for a stretch of weeks, felt like I was sleepwalking through life. Adding more carbs and staying on top of hydration while keeping active turned things around, feeling like myself again now. Hoping your body settles into a groove soon too.

And there's nothing wrong with dreaming huge either. A lofty target can be exactly the fuel that keeps momentum going. Even if shredded abs at some ideal number never happens, trimming down, gaining health, moving easier, and finally dipping under 200 after a decade away is already massive.

Solid post overall. Worth repeating what you said toward the end: any forward motion counts, full stop.

Onward and upward.

That tracks. Definitely haven't lost that much in a single month. Reading stories like that probably built up some unrealistic hope of being one of the lucky fast responders. Staying the course and trusting how this plays out. Hopefully the next dose level is the missing piece. Really hoping the current amount at least starts showing a tiny loss instead of continued gain. Genuinely grateful this got a thoughtful response. It helps more than expected and means a lot.
