5 Years on GLP-1s?!

Hong Kong Yanpep International
Five years is rare enough that it's genuinely worth reading about as a data point. The body contouring chapter is the one most people don't mention publicly even though it's a real part of the journey for significant loss. What's the relationship with food like now compared to year one? Whether the mental shift around eating persists long-term is one of the more interesting questions about this medication.

Five years is long enough to know which tools actually work versus which ones the internet thought would. 265 to 135 with body contouring as the endpoint - that's the complete arc.

Overweight or obese since roughly age five.

Over 100lbs has come off more than once across a lifetime. Once through surgery, another time via a meal-delivery plan paired with heavy exercise. Most of that came back within a year or two either way.

A bariatric surgeon actually mentioned that at 215lbs, a decade out from surgery starting from a high of 340, things were going better than most patients see.

Started Zep/MJ at 265lbs. Latest weigh-in came in at 137. Seems like the body's settled here. BMI reads around 22 now, no interest in losing more, and honestly doubt the body would allow it anyway. It's basically parked itself between 136-142lbs. Happy with that outcome but staying genuinely watchful, since weight comes back easily without much effort. Currently on 15mg weekly and dealing with fairly strong hunger daily.
