51 shots later... almost there!

I'm seeing a real difference! It's been about 24 months and 51 injections, going from around 375 pounds to weighing in at 166. Been quite a journey...

I'm 61. Weight changes are just part of the deal at this stage of life. I'm really trying not to obsess over the scale these days. I've gone from squeezing into a size 28/30 to rocking an 8/10. I've been through bariatric surgery. Recovered from a serious esophageal rupture, survived being on life support...and now I'm mostly past the initial weird feelings from starting Mounjaro. I jumped in early, steadily increasing to the highest dose. There have been a ton of smaller wins, but those are some of the biggest.

Thinking it might be time to wrap things up with this stuff! It can be pretty addictive. I'm walking 5k+ steps twice a day, plus hitting the gym hard 3 times a week. I CAN FINALLY CROSS MY LEGS, and I can put my bag right next to me in the car! I'm up at 3 AM excited to get my day started. I CAN BUY CLOTHES ANYWHERE NOW! Sorry, had to yell that one.

Everyone around me – doctors, family – are saying to stop. But you know me! I've blown past everyone's expectations. NO ONE thought I could get here. My cardiologist thought my goals were "a bit optimistic," to say the least. Jokes on them!

I need to redo some plastic surgery stuff, and I'm scheduled for more work soon. Don't want to waste money on that! I think I'm actually happy with where I am. Body image issues are tough and have no place in our healthy lives. Hopefully, after these surgeries, I'll be totally satisfied. The worry about how I'll feel and look at the end is real.

Good luck to you all! Here's to "True Maintenance"! No really, I mean it this time!

Stick with it! It can be a wild ride, but it's SO worth it!

Congratulations! That's an incredible accomplishment. I'm at a normal weight and BMI now for the past year. Since I have type 2 diabetes, I'll likely be on Mounjaro for the rest of my life, unless my other health issues change things. I didn't have to lose as much as you, but I feel so much better and look better too. Sometimes we look better than we feel, lol. I had a panniculectomy and hope to get more done in the future. You should be so proud! Good luck with your upcoming surgery and continued success!

What a journey you've been on! I'm so happy you've reached your goal after all this time. Good for you for sticking with it and congratulations!

Wow, such an inspiring story! You look incredible! You've done a fantastic job taking care of yourself and creating a healthier you!

Congrats! I'm so sorry you had to overcome so much. I hope everything goes smoothly for you from now on. What I loved most about your photos is the smile you have in most of them. Keep up that positive attitude!

I started my first dose today, just the starter one. I don't really feel anything yet. My doc put me on it because my hormones are a mess and I can't drop weight. Hoping this helps with cravings and maybe some weight loss too!

Good luck! Many people don't really notice anything until they titrate up a bit. Hope it works well for you!
