6-month progress report!

How have you felt as you adjusted your sema/reta ratio? It might be too soon to tell with the latest change, of course.

I don't think the ratio matters much. I get different side effects from each. Sema gives me mild cramping while digesting. Nothing terrible. Reta gives me skin irritation, like a mild sunburn.

I'm doing the same thing. I only wanted to use Reta for my...stuff.
But now my fridge is full of other peps. lol

Congrats on your journey!

Thanks, MsGizmo, for sharing. I'm thinking about stacking sema with reta because 5mg of reta alone isn't cutting it. Your data is really helpful.

I'm glad my story is helping!

Update:

I bumped up the sema to 2mg weekly in November.
In December, I upped the reta to 5mg weekly.
No changes planned for January. My weight loss is good right now.
The sema side effects are gone, but the reta skin burning is almost too much. Hopefully, it'll get better. I'm down a total of 55 pounds.

Great thread and congrats, MsGiz!

Sema/Reta is what I'm researching, too!

I want to add a small amount of sema for extra appetite suppression while still hitting the other receptors with reta, starting gently.

The sema can be adjusted as needed (especially with keto), with reta as the base.

I'm just starting research, so I don't have much personal experience yet, but I'm very interested in this combo.

Thanks, MsGizmo, and everyone else!

I saw a success story on Reddit where someone reached their goal weight in about 6 months and maintained it for a month after stopping the meds due to insurance changes. They plan to stay on a low dose for maintenance because of decades of yo-yo dieting.

That’s quite an accomplishment!!!! I have a lot of respect for your disciplined approach to titration - more people need to follow your example.

I agree. Slow and steady is the best way to minimize side effects and long-term health issues. I hope more people go slow.

There was another post on Reddit where a person lost most of their weight and only had 8kg left. They said looking at old photos made them sad for that person.
