6 mos on sema: tiny victories!

Back in July of last year, I was lugging around 210 lbs. I felt like my diet was decent, but the scale just wasn't budging. Getting diagnosed with PCOS last June gave me some insight into why losing weight felt like such an uphill battle. After reading that book about processed foods, my idea of 'healthy' totally flipped, and my eating habits changed big time. I managed to drop about 25 lbs by cooking everything from scratch and dodging anything with weird ingredients. But then I hit a wall in February and decided to give semaglutide a try. Fast forward to now, I'm celebrating 6 months on it and just hit a cool milestone in my weight loss. Plus, it's that point where people are actually noticing the difference!

That ultra processed food book was eye-opening! I wish more people would read it. I shed about 15 lbs in 3 months, but then gained it back after my mom passed away and my eating went haywire. I still try to avoid that stuff as much as possible, but it's seriously everywhere. It's scary how much of it people actually eat. Congrats on your weight loss! Smaller feet, yay! (I always love it when my shoes fit better!)

That's great! Just a reminder that rapid weight loss can sometimes lead to skin sagging. Be sure you're drinking enough fluids and moisturizing well!
