6 Weeks on Ozempic - Thoughts?

Hey everyone! I'm posting some progress pics to keep myself motivated and maybe encourage others. I've been taking Ozempic for about a month and a half, and while the side effects haven't been fun, I haven't seen the scale move as much as some people I know. My buddy made a before-and-after pic, and I think I'm finally seeing a difference! What do you all think? Started at 188, now at 160, hoping to get to 130. I'm 5'2 and 27 years old.

Thanks for posting! Quick reminder: no discussing unapproved stuff or trying to sell anything, even in DMs. Newbies, check the .

Uh, you dropped almost 30 pounds in 6 weeks? That's not a slow loss. That's actually pretty quick, especially considering you didn't start at a super high weight.

Please get bloodwork to check for muscle loss. Be aware of rhabdomyolysis (muscle cell death), cardiac arrhythmias, and other possible dangers related to rapid weight loss. Losing almost 5lbs a week can be seriously risky. That's like a 2250 calorie deficit per day! Given your height, your maintenance calories are probably under 2000. See your doctor ASAP.

Okay, so one pound of fat is around 3,500 calories. Does that mean you'd need to burn like, 2,300+ calories MORE than you eat EVERY day to lose that much weight in a month and a half? You'd basically have to starve yourself AND run a marathon daily? Someone please check my math, because that sounds crazy. 😭

Like others said, that's extremely dangerous in that short of a period. I dropped about 55 pounds over eight months, and even that was considered fast. I know everyone's different, but the numbers aren't adding up here.

This gives me some hope because I’m having a really hard time. I don’t feel good at all. I stick to my calorie goals. This is only my second shot and I've lost 7lbs, but eating is tough. I didn't overeat before, but now I barely eat. I can't figure out what to eat, and when I do, I can't fit anything in my stomach. It feels like I got a bypass – I feel awful.

I'm skeptical. You're wearing loose clothes in one picture and tight clothes in the other. Anyone could do a "transformation" photo like that.

I totally get what Protein-xx is saying. I'm struggling to eat anything. It's like my stomach is permanently full. I'm barely getting 1000 calories a day, and I'm worried about it.

It's inspiring to see the transformations, but it's also important to focus on the health aspects. I saw someone post about losing over 100lbs, normalizing their blood pressure and cholesterol. That's the kind of win I'm aiming for!
