7 months on Oz...eyesight issues?

Hey all, I'm 5'5", about a size 8 now, used to be a 12. I've lost about 70 pounds, going from 230 down to my current weight. The weird thing is my vision has gotten way worse. I'd like to drop another 10 lbs.

That's incredible! I've lost 80 pounds over the last 6 months. As a guy, it tends to come off faster for us. You've done an amazing job!

Also, you mentioned vision issues. I've had something similar – my nearsightedness got a bit worse. I read it's a known side effect. Hopefully, it'll go back to normal after we stop taking it.

What dosage were you taking when you noticed the vision changes? Also, did you have a workout routine? I'm on 0.25 for 4 months now and only shed about 13 pounds, feeling a bit down about it.

You look amazing! I would suggest visiting an eye doctor ASAP. Some people have gone blind because of this medication. It's not common, but if your eyesight is getting significantly worse AND you're not over 40 (vision can decline a bit every year after 40) then the meds might be the cause. The doctor may tell you to stop taking it before it gets worse. Please don't wait. I'd hate for your eyesight to get so bad that you lose your vision completely. Please keep us updated!

You look awesome!

My vision was bugging me too. I went to injecting every 10 days instead of every 7, and lowered the dose a bit. My eyes are totally back to normal now. Just thought I'd share that.

Congrats!! What was your highest dose? And how long did you stay at that dose? Did you follow a specific diet? What kind of exercise did you do?

My son's wedding is in 9 months, and I want to lose 100 pounds! I've lost 14 pounds in the last 6 weeks. Sorry for all the questions, but I really want to look my best at the wedding with my friends and family. You look fantastic!! Great job!

I worked up to 2mg over a few months. I try to eat healthy, high protein, but honestly, the meds do most of the work! I walk a few times a week.

Interesting about the vision thing. I wonder if it's related to the potential fertility benefits I've been reading about. Maybe hormonal changes?

Just a word of caution - I read a really sad story about someone whose wife had gastric sleeve surgery, then started on Oz, and ended up with liver failure, possibly from malnutrition. It sounds like she wasn't getting enough protein. Everyone on these meds needs to make sure they're eating enough and getting the right nutrients!
