Just hitting my 8th week now, and I've dropped about 28 pounds. It's wild how much better you feel when you're eating right and getting exercise. My joints feel so much better, and my mood is way up. Can't wait to hit my goal of 250!

I agree with @WellAF. Sometimes it takes a bit for your body to adjust. I've been on this for a while, and plateaus happen. It's more about the overall health benefits than just the pounds lost. I am down 50 pounds!

I started at 340lbs and after 6 months I'm down to 285. It's a slow process, but a big change overall. So don't get discouraged if you don't see huge results right away, @MedSet762

That's an awesome point, @LeanStrong. The reduced pressure on my joints has been a game-changer. I feel like I can actually enjoy moving again!

Adding a personal trainer and lifting at 6 months is the right timing - once the initial momentum is established, the muscle component changes what maintenance looks like. Tapering from 5 to 4 is the right direction when nearing goal: find the lowest dose that holds satiety without over-medicating past the finish.

Holding at 5mg when it's producing results is the right instinct - the standard titration schedule exists as a minimum pace, not a mandatory calendar, and people who stay at an effective dose longer tend to avoid the GI escalation that comes with pushing past what the body needs. The protein challenge at suppressed appetite is real for almost everyone in the early months.
