8 Months On: Still Working?

It's been eight months since I started on semaglutide, switching to Wegovy later, and I've shed about 22% of my initial weight. Honestly, it's been a game-changer after struggling to lose weight through just diet and hitting the gym.

Huge congrats! Did you change your diet or exercise routine?
Yeah, I tweaked both. Nothing extreme, just more mindful eating and trying to walk a bit more each day. Small changes add up!

For those just starting semaglutide, remember the standard titration schedule: usually .25mg for the first month, then .5mg for the second, 1.0mg for the third, 1.7mg for the fourth, and then 2.4mg for maintenance according to clinical trials.

I agree with ThinLizzie82 that consistency is key. The SURMOUNT-1 study on tirzepatide showed that lifestyle interventions PLUS the medication led to the best outcomes. Medication can help, but it's not magic.

For me the diet change worked after time off. I went from sitting around to hitting ten thousand steps daily and basically treading water for three months. Finally started losing again once I switched things up.
