A year on meds, down 80+ lbs!

I'm using the blood pressure meds specifically to get my BP under control, not for weight loss. The plan is once I drop some weight I can hopefully get off the ARB. Wasn't an issue until a year ago so stopping it is the first thing on my list.

Instead of meds for BP and blood sugar long-term, prefer GLP-1s for maintenance. Mom's been on hypertension meds from her 50s until now.

Solid place after a year, body and mind. Month bounce near goal is normal as things adjust. Getting off meds doesn't erase what you've done. Habits and awareness matter most. Set up well for keeping it off.

2 months before first shot in pic 1. same sweater whole time. pcos made it slower but happy with progress. had massive sides at 7.5mg, way better at 10mg. ups and downs during my cycle but moving down overall.

The anemia catch is a good reminder that fatigue on these meds is worth ruling out with labs before blaming the dose.

the 'i've been watching what i eat' answer is genuinely not a lie and covers the question without opening a whole conversation. most people asking are looking for reassurance that hard work explains it, and that answer gives them that. nobody needs the full medical picture unless you want to share it
