A Year on Mounjaro: My Journey!

Hi everyone! Today marks one year since I started on Mounjaro. I began at 390 lbs and now I'm at 283 lbs. I've been snapping pics a few times a week to monitor progress. I've definitely seen improvements in my strength, endurance, and flexibility. My waist has gone from 59 inches to 47 inches, so wardrobe changes have been needed! Health-wise, I've been able to ditch my high blood pressure meds, and my A1C is looking much better, which my doc is thrilled about.

Oddly, I don't see a huge difference in my before/after shots. I think the weight loss is so fast that it's hard for my brain to catch up. I kinda stalled at 7.5mg, so I've bumped it up to 10mg. I'm aiming to get below 250 lbs – that's when my back pain from a lumbar fusion 2 decades ago pretty much disappears.

I'm so grateful for all the support here, so I wanted to share my milestone with you!

You don't see a major difference?! Get your eyes checked, girl, because it's CLEAR! Congrats on the success!

Are you kidding me? That's incredible progress! It's obvious in the photos – you look happier and healthier too! Congrats on the weight loss and the cool new tattoos!

The difference in the pictures is significant. It's common for your brain not to fully register the changes. Keep up the fantastic work!

What's your general diet and exercise look like?

Good question! I eat mostly lean protein and veggies, with some fruit. I try to walk every day, even if it's just for 20 minutes. I'm also doing some light strength training a couple of times a week.

It's interesting how these meds affect people differently. Some experience rapid belly shrinking, others find it takes longer for that area.

What's important is the overall health improvement!
