Accidental GLP Baby?!

So, I was about to dive headfirst into GLP-1s. My hopes were high: better blood sugar, shed some pounds, and get my cycle on track so my son could finally have a little brother or sister. I've been lurking here for ages, soaking up all your wisdom. Guess what? Turns out, I'm already expecting! Starting GLP-1 is off the table for now. Mixed emotions all around as this new chapter begins. I guess I'll catch you all on the flip side, when I'm ready to tackle the weight loss journey once more. Sending good vibes to everyone on their GLP-1 adventures! 🥳

My partner started on GLP-1 meds in December of '23, and surprise, surprise – pregnant by February! The nurses mentioned they're seeing more and more pregnancies among women using GLP-1 agonists. Not sure if there's solid research to back it up, just what we heard. Congrats!

Hey you can always start it later and it might even be cheaper. I was paying like $950 before getting pregnant and now it's just $160 a month :)

Something similar happened to me when I first tried GLP-1s! I dropped like 12 pounds and then, BAM, pregnant. Congrats! Now that my little one is over a year old, I'm back on it, and it's been amazing. Wishing you a healthy and happy pregnancy!

I'm currently chilling with my baby, who def came about coz of Ozempic. Was using a GLP-1 for only like 6 weeks before conceiving

Congrats! Don't think you're doomed to come out of pregnancy heavier. I was at my best metabolically while pregnant. My calorie intake was finally going to good use!! Eating well and staying active can help those with higher body fat actually lose fat. I had a big baby and only gained 10 pounds. (It's safe for obese mothers.) I was down 20 pounds a few weeks after because I was losing fat. Everyone is different, but pregnancy doesn't have to mean getting bigger.

Wow, that's wild! Maybe there's something to this whole GLP-1 baby boom thing. Thanks!

I saw a story of someone startin' MJ at around 400 lbs and lost almost 200 before getting pregnant in early '24. After birth they started meds again. Today they're back down near their pre-pregnancy weight!

I saw someone else's story... They were using Mounjaro and got pregnant. They had PCOS and other issues, and didn't think it would happen. They are now 5 months along!
