Almost at my goal weight!

honestly I'm having trouble spotting any loose skin in your after photos. also 57kg in 16 months is insane! we have similar starting numbers (125kg) and I'm aiming for 65. first shot next week, super nervous but your results are motivating.

Mayo guidelines say point-eight per kilogram if sedentary, one-point-one to one-point-five if you're active. One-point-seven's the ceiling for serious athletes. They also note that people carrying extra weight should get their protein targets from a nutritionist. I've always leaned toward that meaning goal weight territory.

5'4. Started at 210 lbs in May 2024, got down to 160 lbs by September 2025, back up to 173.5 lbs now in February 2026. Target is 150 lbs for July 2026.

Once you're at your target, thrift stores are goldmines. Tons of barely worn clothes end up there from people dropping sizes. Saves a bundle while you're still changing.

we're practically weight twins! still got some runway before i hit onederland - just started late november - but pumped for where you're at. keep pushing, you've got this!

Six months in and already down 16 kg, started in October on 1 mg. I aimed for 20 to begin with - seemed crazy at the time. Almost there now, so I'm going to set my sights higher.

Six weeks in with that kind of lab improvement - the endocrinologist appointment must have been a different conversation than the usual. That shift in diabetic risk markers in the first month and a half is what makes the medication compelling well beyond the scale. At a starting point well above 400 lbs, having early lab confirmation makes a real difference for staying motivated through the rest of the journey.

Two pounds under goal after being the skinniest you have ever been is exactly the kind of milestone that is worth sitting with. The weight goes where it goes if the habits are right - that part seems locked in. 240 to 135 is a transformation.

240 to 135 at 5 lbs from goal is the stage where the math is almost done but the mirror still hasn't synced. For someone at 299 still 100+ out, this post is the roadmap.

240 down to 135 with 5 pounds left is genuinely close - that last stretch changes daily life in ways the numbers don't fully capture.

The target number matters less than whether strength, mobility, and energy feel right at a given weight - those are better guides than any formula.

Using Reta to get back to a climbing-performance weight rather than a cosmetic target is one of the more specific and measurable goal structures - the functional milestone of matching a previous performance weight is usually a more reliable endpoint than a number derived from a BMI table. The cross-training structure of opposing climbing muscles is exactly the right framework alongside the medication since Reta's GH effects support the muscle quality changes that matter for a climber.
