I'm pretty open about it too - got prescribed for blood sugar and it worked for both that and the weight. 85 lbs is a serious result and the 'medication plus lifestyle change' framing is honest because both things are true. The medication changes what's possible, what you do with that is still on you.

18 down and the OP at 140 is what staying with it long enough looks like. Did you start on your own or through a provider? That tends to change the titration path a lot.

January to December to go from 235 to 208 is a year of real work and then tirz changing the pace is exactly the before-and-after most people describe. Not comparing that first year to what came after - it was hard and it counts. 140 down total is an incredible result.

65 down and then two years of plateau between 162-168 even on max Mounjaro is the hard wall. 140 lbs in the OP is a remarkable result - that kind of stall at the tail end is a completely different problem from where most people start. What would you do differently with what you know now?

Oh the joints thing - this doesn't get talked about enough. Mounjaro basically gave me my mobility back. 50 lbs in looks and feels like way more because the inflammation drops with it. Keep going, still a long way to go but you're already living differently.

Hang tight! No way to know for sure this is the right fit until time tells, but it delivers big for plenty of people, myself included. One of the best parts of Mounjaro for me honestly is not having to obsess over weight or calories anymore, just making sure I hit at least 1200 daily and get enough protein. Mounjaro was always my last option on the table. Reached a breaking point where any change felt better than staying stuck with obesity.

Honestly life changing. Progress is slow but the part that matters more, the binge urges and constant food thoughts have quieted way down. Feels like I've got control back and my self-image has improved.

Barely notice the shots going in, needles are just that thin. Side effects at 5mg have ranged from nothing to very mild.

Worth keeping in mind side effects are a real possibility though. It's a powerful drug after all. Still, it's turned my life around.
