Almost at my GW, terrified!

I've been working at this since last summer, started sema in October, and have been at 1.7 mg for about 5 months now. I've been trying really hard and dropped from 205 lbs to 168 lbs! The side effects haven't been bad at all, but I'm seriously worried about going into maintenance or stopping the shots. 😬

Outstanding result! Do you have any tips to share about what you believe contributed most to your success?

Thanks, everyone! I've been doing mostly cardio, some light weights. I think the biggest thing was honestly just tracking calories religiously. I'm so scared of gaining it all back! philly_gal82, how did you manage to maintain?

Honestly, I just kept doing what I was doing when I was losing. I still track my food most days, and I still workout. I think the sema helps a lot with the food noise, so it's not as hard as it used to be.

I've heard of people splitting their doses to help with side effects. Has anyone tried that? I had a pt who was having issues, so she injected half her dose twice a week instead of the full dose once a week. Said it helped a ton.

That's interesting about splitting doses, Nikki_92. I wonder if it affects the overall effectiveness of the medication? I'm also curious about the upcoming oral versions. Hopefully, they'll be easier on the digestive system.

I saw someone posted they've been off sema for two years and kept the weight off! That gives me hope. It's so encouraging to see people succeeding long-term.
