Almost there! GLP-1s are fire

Started this journey last fall, made the leap on October 27th. Took a minute to see real results, but stuck with it.

First 10 months, I was on Triz (5mg max) and Cagrilintide (1mg max). Just last month, switched Cagrilintide to Retatrutide (2mg).

Haven't hit my goal yet, but feeling amazing getting close. For anyone unsure, jump in! 😊

Just confirming – you're on tirz and reta at the same time right now? Wondering why. Tirz almost killed my appetite, didn't eat enough. Reta doesn't suppress it as much as I want. Why did you pick tirz/cagri and reta/tirz combos? If you don't mind me asking.

Awesome, that's fantastic to hear! Must feel incredible. Yeah, I know all about the failed diet thing too.

I saw someone mention here that there was an uptick and that you should inject twice a week instead of once. Some chart or graph. So, I planned to order Triz since it's better than the other stuff, and figured I'd try something experimental. Wanted Reta, but Nexaph was out of stock. So went with Cagrilintide.

Got pretty nauseous for a few weeks, but smoothed out.

Stuck with twice a week since it works. No reason to mess with success. Switched to Reta because it's supposed to be better at burning fat and preserving muscle (I'm lifting, so it made sense).

Been losing faster since switching to Reta so far.

Felt queasy at first but hard to tell. I'm outside most of the day for work, but I've had energy to lift. So yes, but it's hard to say for sure.

Those non-scale victories are the best! I was on a plane for the first time since starting my meds a year ago and didn’t need an extender. I used to be squeezed into my seat, always getting a window seat so I could lean on something, but this time, it was a nice change. I’ve dropped 77 pounds, down to 170. That was a win.

I shifted to Mounjaro back in summer of 2025 at 220 pounds, and now I'm sitting around 172 pounds. Really happy so far!

Started on 2.5mg for about 2 months, then onto 5mg, and stayed there. When on 5mg, I moved to every 10 days. Upped the dosage of 5mg cause 2.5 stopped working.

Just remember, everyone's experience will be different! Don't get discouraged if your weight loss or side effects don't match someone else's. We are all our own person.
