Anyone else a slow loser?

We should totally talk about this! The weight loss has been super minimal considering how much I'm paying for this stuff. But I gotta admit, the lack of food thoughts is kinda life-changing.

I'm at 0.5mg with absolutely no weight change, plus stomach issues. And I'm still hungry all the time. It's really frustrating and disheartening.

My weight is decreasing at a snail's pace, and I'm still dealing with hunger. I'm at 1 mg. I've lost about 17 pounds since the very end of October. Now, I'm working with a trainer, doing more cardio, and eating even more protein (already over 80 g per day).

I think this is my 15th week and my 4th week on 1.0mg. Honestly, I don't feel a thing. No weight loss, no side effects. I felt something briefly after my first 1.0mg shot, but it only lasted a couple days. Now I'm going to stay at 1.0mg for a while, and I'm really hoping it will kick in.

My friend has been on it for more than a year and dropped some weight at first, but then quickly plateaued. It's been good for her diabetes and she hasn't had any side effects, but it's still annoying for her because she was hoping to lose more weight.

I'm currently on .5 but about to bump up to 1. At first, the food noise was gone and I lost about ten pounds. Now, several months later, while my A1C is still good, I've gained like, three pounds back, and the food noise is back with a vengeance. I'm hoping this increase will make the noise go away again. My doctor mentioned that if it doesn't improve, we might switch me to something else.

I had my first dose a few days ago, so I'm just waiting for this 'no food noise' thing to happen. To be honest, I'm not even sure what it means, but everyone seems to get it once the meds start working.

I didn't lose any weight with that other med after three months of feeling awful. But I did with this other one.

I've actually gained a couple pounds on it… maybe 3 pounds during the first month. I emailed the 'doctor' and, of course, they told me to keep going since I'm supposedly experiencing fewer cravings and less food 'noise'. But it's too expensive for me to 'wait and see' for several more months.

Same here, just like you! I've been on it since about the middle of last year. My dose was just bumped up to 1.0 in January. Still nothing happening.

I'm feeling pretty down. I've been on this for about 5 weeks now. I did all four weeks of .25 and I just did my first .5 injection a few days ago. I’ve only dropped 5 pounds, and I was actually down 8 pounds but then gained a couple back. I'm tracking my calories and always eating over 100 g of protein. I only drink water. I need to exercise more, but I've been following a reasonable plan.

FL_Sunshine_77 Don't give up! Five weeks is early, and the lower doses (0.25-0.5) are more for getting your body used to it. Lots of people don't see any big appetite changes til they hit 1.0mg or more. Also, weight can change day to day because of water or salt. So those 2 lbs might just be temporary!

It's interesting to hear some people are losing super quick on even low doses. I'm going into week 6 now (my 2nd dose of .5) and I'm annoyed that nothing has changed even though I'm eating less carbs and calories and working out. I know I'm not on a 'therapeutic dose' yet, but I wonder if some of us are just more resistant?

That's an interesting point. It could be related to insulin resistance, or other metabolic factors. I've read that consistency matters more than speed. Some people are slow at first and then consistent over time.
