I'm starting to think my focus issues are becoming a real barrier to my job. I've been on 0.25mg of Wegovy for approximately a month but have not yet noticed improvements regarding my ADHD. For those who have noticed their ADHD improve while using Wegovy, what dose were you on when you noticed this effect? I'm wondering if I should wait and see what happens after upping my dose before I pursue ADHD meds.

It really depends on whether that 'food noise' was contributing to your lack of focus. If you've silenced the constant cravings and still can't concentrate, escalating the dose likely won't provide any benefit.

It's interesting you mention that. My concentration has improved ever since the near-constant hunger pangs disappeared. I get my sema through an online place and have had a similar experience.

It's wild how much mental energy goes into just thinking about the next snack. I feel like I have so much more bandwidth now.

The impact of GLP-1 medications on mental well-being is an emerging area of research. Some individuals report a reduction in anxiety and an improved ability to focus, possibly due to the reduced cognitive load associated with managing food cravings and blood sugar fluctuations. However, it's crucial to monitor for potential mood changes, such as depression or anhedonia, as these have been reported as potential side effects. Consult your physician if you experience adverse mental health symptoms.

I've seen some patients experiencing a surprising lack of enjoyment in things they usually love while on these meds. It could be affecting dopamine pathways. If it doesn't improve, talk to your doctor. It's not worth feeling numb just to lose weight.

started 5'3" in july on mounjaro but the nausea was brutal, switched to ozempic and it was better. when sides eased i tried mounjaro again and nope, same hell. been on ozempic five months now, just bumped to 1.8 and down 40 total. real talk — keep strength training no matter what.

Three months in on semaglutide and shocked at my ADHD response. Better than anything else I tried. Feel way more calm mentally, stopped chasing that dopamine rush, and my ability to actually get stuff done is so much better. Anyone else noticing this too?
