It's crazy looking back. Check out these pics – a little over 80 lbs difference! Been in maintenance mode for about 4 months, and the weight's pretty stable.

It would be great if you could share some info, bro. What were your starting stats and your current stats? Did you supplement with protein or collagen? How many cals were you eating? What was your exercise routine?

Hey everyone, thanks for the questions! I'm 5'8". Started around 250 lbs, now I'm at 169. According to BMI, I'm technically still overweight, but I've got a good amount of muscle, so I'm not stressing it. Active weight loss took about 9-10 months. I quit my medication cold turkey at 170, which wasn't the best idea. Gained about 12 lbs in 2 months, so I went back on. I was on the highest dose for a while. Now I'm on a lower dose to maintain. For exercise, I did a mix of cardio and weight training. I have a home gym, which helped a lot. I also take creatine, protein, collagen, and glucosamine. Luckily, I don't have too much loose skin. It hasn't been perfect, though. I hurt my shoulder from lifting too heavy and had Achilles issues from running too much. But overall, it's been great!

Congrats! I'm down 57lbs but not seeing the change you have. I bet I had a ton of that hidden fat. I hope I look that good!

You clearly haven't just been taking medication; you've been putting in the work for those muscles! I'll tell myself fat turns to muscle faster as I hit the gym...

Thanks, everyone! Answering some questions: I was on the medication for about 9-10 months for active weight loss. I've been trying to maintain for the last 4 months. I worked my way up to the highest dose, then lowered it to help with maintenance.

OK, here's a bit more detail. I didn't really count calories obsessively, but I aimed for a high-protein diet. Lots of chicken, fish, and protein shakes. My exercise routine was 3-4 days a week, mixing weight training with cardio. I started with more cardio, then transitioned to about 50/50. And yes, I supplemented with protein and collagen for muscle and joint support.

Congratulations! Don't stress about the BMI. It doesn't account for muscle mass. Sounds like you've built a good amount.
