Before & After: My GLP-1 Story

Happy to hear you're doing well on maintenance, @Cool_Healed! It sounds like you've put in the work to make lasting changes.

Mine took a couple weeks to kick in. The stuff builds gradually so give it time to accumulate in your body. Once it reaches a threshold you should start seeing results similar to what others experience.

I'm at 10 mg now after about 5 months and towards the end of the week I'm getting some food noise back. Didn't have it at all when I started, but I guess my body's adapted to the dose. Might try adding something low-dose if it gets worse. Down 55 lbs so far and these last 15 are being stubborn. Heard they've got more trials coming up with higher doses but no word on where things stand yet.

I only weigh myself right when I wake up before any water, after the bathroom, totally undressed, to get the lowest number possible. Plus salt hits instantly with like a 2-5 pound bump.

Anyone here on sema and ADHD meds? About to get my first shot but worried how it'll interact with Ritalin. Ritalin kills my appetite a bit already, so both together's scary. I'm on 10-15mg Ritalin daily. Starting lowest sema dose. Any advice?

arm doesn't do much for me but above the belly button hit hard at first. fading now so wondering if anyone else has a spot that keeps working before dosing up again?

You're still early on with dosing. Keep at it and things improve. Used to demolish a whole package of cookies without stopping. These days I have a normal serving and move on, don't keep thinking about food after.

try a probiotic for gut health since you're turning your system upside down. plus drink tons of water & maybe dose at different times to see if that changes side effects.

Whether it's before or after MJ, you've been working toward this for such a long time. All those years of effort. That's genuinely incredible. That's true dedication - seeing something through no matter what. Really respect that about you. What can't you accomplish with this kind of commitment?

September 2025 through now - dropped 16 kilos and it shows in how my clothes fit. Hard to see it on yourself day to day, but the scale and this dress I found again tell the real story. Pretty pleased with where I'm at.

Skin firmness during loss is mostly genetics and pace. Slower tends to give the skin more time. Strength work helps.

80 lbs and 4 months into maintenance is where the behavioral habits get tested against the stabilized dose - the 6-month mark is when the pattern usually separates.

The timing strategy is underrated - dosing before sleep removes most of the nausea window from functional hours, and building a consistent dose-before-bed routine gives better tolerance than dosing mid-day when the worst hours land during activity.
