Belly apron shots hitting different?

I've been using semaglutide for like, a year now and the weight is barely budging (under a pound each week), even though I'm definitely overweight. I've always injected it around my tummy, a couple of inches away from my belly button, just like the diagrams show. But I saw a discussion on a zepbound forum about how those pics aren't always right for people with more fat. Apparently, injecting into the lower hanging belly fat (the apron) can work better for some. I tried it for the past few weeks and OMG. Huge change! I've lost 5 pounds which is a LOT for me. I'm also not as hungry. It's been amazing, so I wanted to share in case this could help someone else.

Has anyone had any issues after losing weight? In the beginning, the shots were painless but now that I've dropped some weight, they hurt a lot more.

An endocrinologist once told me that abdominal fat is some of the most metabolically active within your body. This is why those with apple-shaped bodies have increased cardiovascular risks. By this logic, one would assume injecting into that specific region would produce quicker, more visible results for some people.

I had to stop injecting into my stomach because it was making me nauseous. I started injecting my thigh again and feel fine.

I thought the title said you were injecting in your belly button and I was incredibly concerned, I’m happy you have found a way to make it work better for you! I hope you continue to see results!

Yes! I tried injecting near the belly button the last couple of times and saw no difference. But the first month I injected into my apron and I dropped 13lbs in a month!

I always write down the date, time, and injection spot on the pen box. I rotate injection spots around my belly button: top, left, bottom, right. I write down the number of clicks too. So this week it was:

Feb 6
10:07 am
Top
1 mg
31 clicks
93 clicks

I accidentally gave myself an extra dose because I wasn't paying attention. You will definitely feel it the next day. Just stay home and wait it out. It'll be a rough week.
