Feels like the very last pockets of fat get stubborn about disappearing. After dropping 80 kilos and landing around a body mass index in the low twenties, I still carry a fair bit of subcutaneous fat around my midsection compared to other areas. Only real fix is more fat loss or building muscle alongside it, though how realistic that gets once you're already that lean is genuinely questionable, it can turn into a quality of life tradeoff versus chasing extreme measures for stubborn last bits that fight you every step. Hard to know when enough is enough too, classic anorexia thinking treats that leftover fat as proof someone's still heavy at a shockingly low weight. Even with abs still hidden, being 50 pounds lighter is still a solid win.
