Belly Injections After Gallbladder Gone?

Anyone else get their gallbladder removed and still do their Ozempic shot in the abdomen? I had mine out maybe 3 years ago and started the injections around the start of the year. I've lost a good bit of weight, but I've never tried injecting into the stomach. Wondering if anyone else has experience with this?

I don't have a gallbladder anymore and I exclusively inject into my stomach.

I was on Ozempic for like a year, stopped before my gallbladder surgery back in May. Took a short break and got back on it a couple of months back. Only inject in the belly, switching sides each week. No problems!

Yep, belly injections all the way for me. Unless I'm wearing a super tight dress that day, haha. Gallbladder was evicted back in 2010.

Me too! Gallbladder's been gone since '06, and I started Ozempic in May. Only do belly shots.

Gallbladder-free here. I've injected in various locations, abdomen included. Absorption is consistent regardless of location.

No gallbladder here. I probably inject in my belly more than my thigh, and then my arm.

Yup! Had mine removed ages ago. Always inject in the stomach region.

I saw someone on Reddit mention they track where they inject each time. I might start doing that. It's hard to remember!

Just to add to what On_Deck said, subcutaneous and intramuscular injections mainly differ in needle size. The absorption rate is generally the same, so claims otherwise are often anecdotal.

That's a great idea! I can never remember where I last injected lol

Some people find they get better appetite suppression when injecting in the stomach versus the leg. Others report a smoother experience injecting into the thigh. So it seems very individual. As long as you rotate injection sites, that's the main point.
