Just got my initial dose, 0.25mg weekly. Any advice for max effectiveness? I heard it's strongest early in the week, waning later. Best to start Friday to curb weekend cravings, maybe at night? Any insights appreciated!
When I began, my doc suggested injecting before bed to minimize potential nausea. I did that and maybe that's why I didn't feel sick. I started on a Sunday night, since I had Monday and Tuesday free, in case of side effects. Good luck!
I inject Tuesdays around 8 AM. I'm off that day, and I get super wiped out about four hours post-injection. Tried Fridays and Sundays at different times, but it all feels the same. Do what fits your schedule!
Most people choose a day before they have some downtime in case they don't feel well that first day. Someone here mentioned picking a day where you can take it easy.
I injected Friday night since that's when I received it. Experienced notable aches from hours 3-24, so I'll likely switch to Thursday mornings before work moving forward. This way I can enjoy my weekend more. If the side effects don't return, I'll stick with Friday mornings as it's the start of my weekend.
I was on tirzepatide last year for about 10 weeks and injected on Thursdays. Now that I'm about to begin semaglutide, I plan to inject it whenever it arrives, preferably Thursday or Friday.
Depends on your hardest days. I crave junk at the beginning of the weekend, so Friday and Saturday. Injecting on Wednesdays is ideal for me. Some people have it easier on weekends, thus injecting on Sundays might be best. Injecting in the afternoon helps me sleep through any side effects.
I inject during the day. If you have a bad reaction after taking at night, you'll wake up! You must find what works for you. We all react differently. The low dose might not matter, but stay on the same dose for a month to acclimate. It's all trial and error, which is why the micro-dosing start instead of a 2.5mg start dose. Good luck!
Just want to chime in on the injection process itself, since I've seen some questions elsewhere. Don't be afraid! The needles are so fine you often barely feel anything. It's more about the mental hurdle than the physical sensation.
I agree with @Shot_Journey, it's really about figuring out your body and when you have the most cravings. I've found that addressing that specific time frame has been most effective. I also agree with Doc_Queen that side effects are overblown.
I agree, @Moody_Gang53, that it's all about figuring out *your* body specifically. What works for one person might not work for another. Don't be afraid to experiment a bit!
