Big vial worries?

I'm on the lowest dose of tirz and looking at bigger vials, like 50mg or 40mg from QSC, but that's way more than I'd use in a month, right? Is there a safe way to make that work, or do I need to stick with smaller sizes?

Lots of people go longer than 30 days. It's a risk assessment thing. Just be extra careful about keeping it clean. Some folks use a vial for three months or even longer. But honestly, if you are on a low dose, smaller vials are probably the way to go.

Just use alcohol wipes on the vial before *and* after you draw with your syringe.

I snagged some 60mg deals. I'm taking 5mg weekly now, but I won't crack into those until next year and will be at a higher dose then anyway. I'm good with using it for about 12 weeks if I'm careful.

Another thought: you could divide the vial contents right away and stash half. That should cut down on contamination worries. Or share with a friend!

I've read that splitting a vial might cause more contamination than just using it longer? How would you even do it safely anyway?

Think about it: every time you poke the vial, you risk contamination. If it's all in one vial, you're poking it every week. Lots of folks use a single vial for months with no problems, though.

To split it, draw out half after mixing and squirt it into a fresh, sterile vial. Even better, use a filter and a new needle to transfer it as sterilely as possible. I prefer pen cartridges myself.

My clinic says use the tirz within 90 days, and it comes from South Lake Pharmacy, so it's probly fine.

I prep my syringes ahead of time; I get about a dozen doses from a vial using a sterile process. [NOTE: This is a simplified summary and isn't medical advice!]

* Hair back, mask on
* Surgical hand scrub
* Sanitize counter
* Gather supplies
* Don gloves
* Sterile drape
* Alcohol wipe vials
* Doff gloves
* New gloves
* Wipe vial tops
* Reconstitute (one hand vial, one syringe)
* Draw dosages, no needle touching!
* Airtight box, fridge

If adding B12, I use a fresh needle and add it to the tirz syringe to minimize pokes. Sometimes, I use removable needles and swap for fresh ones before injecting.

I think I got my last batch from ezpen, but you can find them on Alibaba. Get sterilization pouches from Amazon. You can ask your dentist, nail salon, or vet to run it through their autoclave. Or use a pressure cooker.
