Bilirubin increase on tirz?

Hi everyone,

I received new blood test results after being on tirz for two months (6 weeks at 2.5mg and 2 weeks at 5mg). Most of my levels improved, but my bilirubin has increased. After a quick search, rapid weight reduction seems like it could be the cause.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Hey, I work in a medical lab. The dosage increase might've impacted your liver a little. Monitor your ALT and AST levels to confirm. Hopefully, your body adjusts in a few weeks. If it keeps climbing or you feel worse, maybe reduce the dose. Your platelets are fine, no worries. Everything else looks good!

I just got the extra results for ALT/AST, they are nominal, I think the Bilirubin thing is probably related to dropping a lot of weight quickly.

Any other thoughts?

Regarding the blood pressure concerns, it's often related to the weight loss itself, not necessarily the medication directly. However, some people do experience changes. It's important to monitor it regularly and discuss any concerns with your doctor. Some people find they can lower the dose, or even get off their blood pressure meds!

Thanks @Nat_92, it's good to know about the blood pressure, and that it's related to the weight loss and not necessarily the shot itself. The more you know! Good to know about that lipid panel thing too @BearDone. I'll definitely be asking my doctor about that at my next appointment.

Yeah, 2.5 is a solid baseline. Just be patient and let your system adjust over the full four weeks before deciding to bump up. Tolerance builds if you escalate too fast.

Is appetite control the same on cagri as tirz? What are the standard cagri starting protocols? I like starting slow on GLP drugs and working up, curious what others began with and how cagri's been.
