Brain adjusting to new me!

Soon going into maintenance and still hard to grasp what a difference this year has made. Went to buy some new clothes and I'm a size 6 (started at 22). I don't think I've been a size 6 ever, since when I was like, 11, I was already a size 8/10 and that's when I noticed I was getting kinda heavy.
I sometimes don't really *see* the difference. My mind is trying to get used to this new body and I'm trying to stay positive! 😊
Would love to hear your related thoughts! ☺️

Great job! It definitely takes time for your brain to catch up with the new you in the mirror. You look fantastic and I bet you feel healthier too! x

You must be feeling great!! Super inspiring. I've been feeling like my weight loss is taking forever. Been tough to actually *see* a difference looking in the mirror. I did something helpful at the gym recently - picked up a 45lb weight plate and I thought that was the same as what I've lost, really made me feel the difference.

Wow, I started at size 22 and now I am 16 losing about 50lbs, can’t even imagine being a size 8! You look wonderful 🥰

You look amazing 😍 Congrats🎉

How long did it take you?
And what was your workout schedule like, if you had one?
What supplements did you use to keep your energy levels up?

Thanks, everyone for your support! To answer

It's been almost exactly a year since I started the meds. I try to work out 3-4 times a week, mostly cardio like walking and swimming, but I also do some light weights. As for supplements, I take a multivitamin and B12 for energy, but nothing too crazy.

Congrats Zara56! I'm a 59M, and these meds got my A1C down to 5.4 from 9.0! It's amazing. They're a great tool, as long as we remember nutrition and movement too!

Fat cell epigenetic memory is fascinating to me—thanks for that info. I found one study but would love to see any others you've come across.
