Burps That Smell Like Rotten Eggs?!

Has anyone had luck controlling gas? I'm burping constantly. If I recline for a moment, a burp is sure to follow when I sit up again. On injection days, they're awful, like sulfur. The other times, it's a typical burp. I'd be grateful for a solution to stop this.

I tried simethicone, but no luck.

If the injection-day sulfur burps are the worst part, this community guide on sulfur burps has a bunch of tactics people actually tried — the simethicone-doesn't-work crowd ended up there too.

Someone mentioned d-Limonene, so I gave it a shot and it's been a game changer for me. I pop one or two daily. Significantly less gas and burping, and when I do burp, it tastes like citrus instead of sulfur! Citrus wins every time! 😄

Try a shot of apple cider vinegar. It tastes bad but it can neutralize your stomach and prevent the terrible odor when I have them.

I had never experienced these sulphur burps until starting semaglutide. No doctors seemed to know why. Here's two things I discovered:

1) I've never tested positive for H. pylori until starting semaglutide. Maybe there's a link for some. My theory is that for some, sema activates H. pylori.

2) Whatever causes the sulphur burps seems to be bacterial. One dose of augmentin eliminated the smell, but not the burping. Burping stopped with meds specifically for H. pylori. If you can live with the burping but not the smell, augmentin or an amoxicillin should help.

Ugh, tell me about it! I've been on these shots since late 2024, and the side effects have been a rollercoaster. Now I'm down to a lower dose every 10 days, which is great. But last night I had a big family dinner – pasta, pizza, the works – and I was glued to the toilet all night. My stomach's still not right. I wish I had something to help during these times, lol! High fat meals and delayed stomach emptying don't mix well for me.

wait, do you mean mixing them in one shot? according to that chart, don't mix glp1s with anything. what does that even mean?

same! I definitely notice when it's close to injection day — hunger goes crazy. but knowing that helps. I can push through just one day with work and chores. also true that losing fat gets harder the lower your body fat is. you're looking great though!

Tried NAD for 4 months straight and felt absolutely nothing. Got that weird warm rush after injecting but zero energy boost, no extra weight loss, nothing. Wondering if I was dosing wrong. Seems like it should ramp up not front-load then drop, so might try a fresh vial with a different protocol.

Fair warning: if customs screens you at the border, you could get denied entry. Only saw people get through when they weren't flagged. With a script and one pen you're probably fine, but if you're stacking other stuff it gets riskier. TSA doesn't care, but US customs is a whole different animal right now.

hey everyone, looking for tips on how you all store your peptides and supplies. i've got 2 kits now and heading to 3 soon, so i wanna figure out a good system before i have way more stuff. would love to hear what people with bigger collections do.

Seven weeks in on third .5mg shot. This rash spread everywhere and itches like crazy. PCP says it's environmental. Got worse and now I'm on prednisone. Doctor reckons I wasn't losing weight anyway so maybe it wasn't right for me. Switching now.

Egg aversions on GLP-1s are common early - cutting them out and coming back later once the GI adjustment settles usually resolves it.
