Calories on GLP-1s - what's your daily intake?

I understand GLP-1 receptor agonists affect more than just appetite, but I'm curious: do you guys track your daily calorie consumption? How does it compare to your pre-medication intake?

My doc wants me around 1500 cals. TDEE calculators say 1650 for a half-pound loss weekly and 1400 for a full pound.

I've been tracking religiously, but I think I'll try doing without this week, see how it goes. It was so hard to stay in range before the shot. Now, I struggle to even hit my goal some days.

I'm a MyFitnessPal zealot – tracked every morsel for the last 507 days! It's how I stay healthy. Started at 1200 cals and shed nearly 70 pounds in a year. Now I'm at 1600 to maintain.

Honestly, I don't track calories at all. I'm losing about a pound a week, so I don't see the point in tracking.

I was already eating a whole-foods diet for years before Ozempic. It was very low fat, high fiber because of BAM. Also, I had diet-controlled T2D, CKD, and was prone to high uric acid, cholesterol, and blood pressure. I spent 8 years perfecting my diet.

After an appendectomy and later a cholecystectomy, my health spiraled, and I gained weight. Fortunately, my food restrictions aligned well with Ozempic's effects.

I jumped straight into a 1200-calorie diet with full macro tracking. I couldn't lose weight on 1200 before. My only restriction now is sodium.

I don't count calories. It just doesn't work for everyone. This med gave me GERD, so I can only tolerate healthy foods, or I'm in agony from acid reflux. Isn't it fun? Obesity vs. esophageal damage or pancreas issues... Plus the headaches. Do most people even take this because counting calories didn't work? My doc made me try calorie counting first!

I'm not tracking formally, but I'm definitely eating less. Where I used to eat a whole sandwich, now it's half. When I eat out, I always bring leftovers home.

I'm 5'5" and 137lbs.

I eat 1200 calories max to lose a pound each week. If I ate more, I'd only drop half a pound, which isn't enough to keep me going.

I dropped to about 1000 calories daily and still wasn't losing weight, plus had zero energy. So I've gradually increased. I'm maintaining at around 1800 calories a day and have the energy for work.

I've noticed that healthy stuff just doesn't appeal to me anymore. Like, I used to make these amazing salads, and now the thought of eating one makes me want to gag. But I can totally eat some popcorn with butter for dinner. What is up with that?
