Can I dose tirz every 5 days?

I injected 2.5mg of tirz last Wednesday, and it helped a lot, although I did feel a bit queasy. It's been 4 days, and I think the benefits (and the nausea) are fading. Is it okay to inject another 2.5mg tomorrow? I know docs usually say wait at least 5 days between sema injections. Is it the same for tirz? I'm struggling with weight gain right now and wondering if the pros outweigh the cons of possible side effects.

If you're new to tirzepatide, stick to 2.5mg once a week and increase by 2.5mg every month. The side effects might get better as your body adapts.

Tirzepatide's half-life is about 5 days, so some people find their appetite comes back sooner. Most people are fine on days 6 and 7.

"Split-dosing" can help with side effects during titration or to push through a plateau. Search online for tools that can help you visualize and calculate the split.

I didn't have side effects but needed high doses to feel full. I used the standard weekly injections, increasing every month until 12.5mg, which helped with satiety and reduced cravings.

I did get headaches for a couple of days after injecting, and my appetite was really suppressed. By days 6 and 7, I wasn't feeling full at all.

I looked into other options and played around with dosing schedules. I felt best between days 3 and 5 when I figured I had around 12-16mg in my system. So, I tried to stay in that range instead of peaking at 19-20mg and then dropping to 8-9mg.

Now, I inject 6.6mg every 3 days. I stay in my sweet spot, with no headaches or extreme appetite suppression. I feel full during meals, don't have cravings, and the effects don't wear off at the end of the week.

@MacroTracker, on the 4th or 5th day you felt like you were gaining weight quickly? Feeling hungry or eating isn't the same as actually gaining weight.

Thousands of people followed the standard protocol during trials. You can stick to that successful approach or experiment on your own. If you're the type to grab another pint of ice cream before finishing the first, you might be back soon asking why 15mg isn't working.

People who have a strong reaction early on with GLP-1s often see fast results. I'd suggest waiting 4 weeks between dose increases and eating when you're hungry. Feeling guilty about eating is how some of us gained weight to begin with!

Follow the advice people are giving you and stick to once a week and then increase the dose, once your body gets used to it then you can inject every 5 days. More isn't better. I been on 7.5 for 2 months now and loosing like 1LB every week but I'm also putting on muscle since I go to gym because I don't want to loose muscle.

I started with 2.2 every six days for the first five weeks or so. I was nervous and felt like I was getting bigger and was scared the medicine wouldn't work. It was ok. After nine weeks, I went up to 4.4 and switched to seven days because I stopped feeling super hungry and panicky about food on day five. Maybe it's all placebo, and I lost the first 15 pounds because I BELIEVED I could stop obsessing over food. My pants fit better, and that's what matters.

I'm so grateful. I haven't been able to bake bread without eating the whole loaf immediately in years. Right now, I have my first batch of dinner rolls in the oven without any anxiety because I want to eat my bison burgers on a bun instead of a low-carb tortilla. I'm pretty sure I can do it now.

I'm down 57 pounds since my last baby! It's a start!! My new insurance wants me to start back at .25. I just injected .5 this past week and not sure what to do now. Start over?

splitting the dose in half and doing it every 3.5 days can help smooth out those ups and downs. i had really tough heartburn moving up from 5mg so i switched to splitting it and eventually was able to go back to the full dose once a week. took my body a good 4-6 weeks to get used to it but it was worth playing around with the schedule

Absolutely. Split your weekly dose down the middle and shoot every 3.5 days instead. That smooths out the peaks and valleys a lot. I had terrible GERD after I went up past 5mg, so the split schedule became my fix and managed to return to once-weekly dosing later. My body needed 4-6 weeks to settle in, plus some dose tweaking, but it worked out.

Just keep your dose the same. Tirzepat has a half-life around 5-6 days, and you need about 5 half-lives to fully clear - that's roughly 30 days. Same timing applies to reaching peak levels.

could probably do another 5mg next monday, would put me around 23 weekly. this past week just no interest in food really, but i could eat fine. at clinical trial numbers though, probably done losing on tirz alone. might need to switch something up.
