Can't believe how good I feel!

Hi everyone! I'm still in shock that it's been a year since starting on Mounjaro for my type 2 diabetes. Just got my latest lab results last week and they're fantastic.

My A1C is now 4.8 and my glucose is 74 (it was 6.8 and 162 in December 2024 before I started). I've gone from 250 pounds all the way down to 178. I'm so grateful for this drug. It's so much more fun to shop for clothes now. I don't get out of breath doing everyday stuff. I've also managed to avoid getting sick at all this school year. Usually as a teacher I'm sick like 3 times by this point. Maybe it's because I'm healthier now, so my immune system is better. I'm even off my blood pressure medication. I'm finally feeling good about myself after a long time.

Fantastic progress! I haven't been on it for a full year yet but I hope to be somewhere close to where you are when I hit that milestone. You have a glow about you, and I'm not just talking about the weight loss.

That’s truly amazing! I thank my lucky stars every day for this medication because I've been asking for help for so long. I just wish it was more affordable and accessible to everyone who needs it.

You look amazing, congratulations. May I ask what dose you have been taking? Do you exercise at all?

To answer a couple of questions:

Compound_Strong - I'm currently on the highest dose, 15mg.

MixBro - I try to walk at least 30 minutes a day and do some light weights a few times a week. Nothing too crazy!

I'm seeing a lot of patients with similar positive experiences. It's wonderful to see T2D going into remission and blood pressure/cholesterol normalizing. Keep up the great work everyone!

I agree 100%. Access is a huge issue, and it's heartbreaking to see people struggle to get the medication they need.

I'm only a few days into my journey on .25mg of sema, I was worried it would stop me enjoying food. I still get to enjoy what I like, I just don't eat as much, which is great. I am hitting the gym every day.
