Can't believe I feel this good!

No longer need my hypertension meds! I can actually breathe deeply. I’m definitely feeling stronger. Sometimes I look in the mirror and it’s like, who *is* that? So proud of how far I've come in just over a year.

It's so inspiring seeing everyone else's success and confidence blossom! We deserve to feel this good, for both our bodies and our minds.

Started at 244 lbs

Thanks for contributing to our little corner of the internet!

Just a quick reminder about the rules. Please don't talk about any semaglutide versions that aren't approved by the FDA, and definitely don't try to buy or sell anything here, even in private messages. We don't endorse anyone doing that.

If you're new around here, you might want to check out the FAQ. This isn't meant to shut down conversation, just to help out.

Incredible! It really changes everything!! I was on a 24-hour shift at the hospital, delivering five babies (I'm a midwife), and I couldn't help but think, 'There's no way I could have pulled this off if I was still lugging around those extra 40 pounds!' I'm a 'slow and steady' type, down 40 lbs since late January.

That's awesome!! I just started at the same weight you did, and my goal is your current weight! This gives me so much hope :) How tall are you, if you don't mind me asking?

What's your maintenance dose like? Or are you off the medication completely? I'm getting close to my goal, so I'm curious to hear how others are managing to maintain their weight on or off sema.

Incredible! After trying that other weight loss program for 50 years - where it never helped and I actually gained weight - now I have no food cravings and I'm down 50 pounds. We are amazing!

This is so encouraging! I'm in week 7, started at 231, and I'm now at 215. My goal is similar to yours, and I'm the same height. Someone recently told me they couldn't imagine me at 130, and it stung. I used to be 130 before I gained all this weight!

Congrats, you look terrific. I know how hard this is. I've lost about 350 lbs on this, and it saved my life too. Wishing you continued health.

Wow!! Amazing results!

I have a few questions:

How much weight had you lost when you started exercising?

How long did it take you to go from your starting weight to your goal?

What tips do you have for us newbies (I'm in week 5)?

That's something I'm wondering about too. I'm getting closer to my ideal weight, and figuring out how to maintain is starting to stress me out!

I saw someone else mention their experience with a maintenance dose after struggling at the highest dose. They went back to the second-highest dose and then eventually onto a maintenance dose. It might be worth exploring different options with your doctor, Avery08 and Kim1993!

Could you share what dosage (in milligrams) and type of medication you were on? Also, what was your diet like?

I was on the highest dose for a bit, but I had to scale back because the side effects were rough. As for diet? I've really focused on protein and vegetables. It’s not always easy, but it helps!
