Celebrating a Victory!

Hi friends! Just wanted to share some good news. As of this morning, the scale read under 190 pounds! I've lost about 31 pounds since June when I started Mounjaro, and over 60 pounds total over the past two years! I'm so, so thankful for this medication; I honestly don't think I could have done it without it. My Type 2 Diabetes is basically gone, and I'm feeling better than I have in years. The excess weight was really affecting my body and now I feel so much lighter! Mentally, I'm in a much better place too. It's been weird adjusting to the way people treat me now. I get a lot more looks and people are generally nicer. I'm a shy person so the attention makes me uncomfortable. It's also strange that people are nicer just because I'm thinner. I'm still me! But overall, this experience has been life-changing, and I'm so proud of how far I've come. Thank you all for being such an awesome community! We got this! ❤️

It's funny how people treat you differently when you're losing weight. It's unfortunate. But congrats on the progress!! Being healthier is a fantastic feeling!

Way to go!! 🎉 It's a mind trip to suddenly be treated like a 'normal' person after being ignored because of your weight. It’s hard not to get cynical about it. Just remember that others have been there too. I'm extra grateful for the people who loved me at every size.

That’s just wonderful. I shed about 80 lbs and I’m in maintenance mode now. You are doing great and it feels great, doesn’t it? So doggone happy for you. You go girl!

I know exactly what you mean about the weird attention, Kelly14. I've dropped almost 40 pounds and people at work are *finally* noticing. It's reassuring, but also kind of sad, you know?
Yeah, it's a REALLY strange feeling. Like, where were you before?!

For anyone struggling with constipation on these meds, I often suggest 800mg of magnesium citrate. Miralax can also be very effective, but it can take a few days to kick in.
