I'm finally brave enough to share my before & after! Been on this path for about three quarters of a year now. Seeing everyone else's transformations gave me so much hope, and now it's my turn to inspire! SW: 180, CW: 135, GW: 130. I'm 5'6".
When I started, I was in a really dark place. A traumatic experience involving assault and kidnapping absolutely destroyed my self-esteem, made me scared to even step outside, and my thinking was so clouded. Food became my only comfort, more than I realized. I made some big steps – started therapy first of all, and decided my fear of needles wasn't going to prevent me from trying this. I took the 'before' pics, but I couldn't stand to look at them back then. I felt so awful.
It's taken a little longer than I hoped, but I lost a significant amount of weight with calorie counting when I was younger and it resulted in terrible stretch marks all over my stomach and thighs because I dropped the pounds so fast, and I only lost like 15 pounds. It seems like this time, losing weight slowly has meant I don't have any at all! Just a little bit of loose skin under my belly button. Small price to pay, and hopefully getting back to the gym will help tighten things up.
