Clothes are fitting better!

You're probably losing fat and building lean tissue. Are you lifting or doing any strength work? My trainer always says pay attention to how clothes fit more than what the scale shows. Since muscle takes up less space than fat even if the number doesn't move your body composition is changing. That's ten years of experience talking not medical advice.

Maybe? Never actually shopped there myself, shocking I know, so can't say if their sizing runs standard. I get measured every visit these days given how much things keep shifting, rarely land on the same size twice in a row.

Went from a plus size down to a small overall in women's clothing. Every shopping trip I reach for a medium out of habit, convinced small must run too tight. Then end up returning it for the small every single time.

Funny you ask, honestly most of my clothes don't fit anymore, just hanging off me at this point. To actually answer though, I basically just replace things as they get too baggy.

Wondered about this too! Clothes fitting looser here too without the inches lost matching up. Guessing the loss is happening, just not exactly where the tape measure's landing.

Funny you mention that. Everything from my old closet fits me again. Wife washed a batch of shorts and I threw one on getting ready for the day. Thing nearly slid right off without a belt holding them up.

Congrats! Had something similar happen just recently. Threw on a shirt I hadn't worn in ages, and last time I remember it feeling uncomfortably snug. This time around? Practically swimming in it lol

Buying every single piece of clothing one size up out of fear it'll end up too tight. Then keeping but never wearing the oversized stuff anyway.
Still can't bring myself to try things on in stores.

Okay, since this has apparently become the unofficial body-changes thread, I went pants shopping Saturday and headed to a store I know carries options where a higher rise isn't forced on you. Since I'm not carrying much back there and never had kids, hip-hugging styles are exactly what I'm after. Not looking to show midriff at 45, don't need that kind of attention, but I really don't want waistbands anywhere near my belly button either. Also wear a tactical belt pouch instead of a purse, so I need it sitting low on my hips without bunching my shirt.

My size these days is a short 4, in the lowest-rise cut available. Not entirely sure how the physics work, my hip bones peek out a good couple inches once the shirt's lifted, but back there, not a trace of visible crack. Tested it standing, sitting, bending, squatting, nothing showed. I do think I'm getting some curve back there thanks to regular pool laps and biking, just hard to tell given how baggy or wide-legged most current cuts run.

Funny enough, some vintage hip-hugger jeans I still own from years back, originally a size 7, land in exactly the same spot today's fours do. Knew styles had shifted over time, just didn't
